V'zee smiled at his mate to ease the tension of worry. "Ev'ryone'll be jus' fine, love. Don't worry none," he said, taking her in a quick embrace. The bronzerider was not really looking forward to a fight, but he was fulfilling his duty to the Weyr. Though he was not too keen about leaving his dragon behind, he had talked the small bronze into it, deciding that Vikki would be Kyanath's eyes for him with the risk of a mating flight to toy with his emotions.
Vik-Mine, Ransk has promised to keep you and Hers safe for me. Don't you be gone too long. I don't like it and you know it. the bronze butted into his rider's thoughts, breaking up the frustrations his rider was keeping carefully hidden from everyone else.
V'zee could not help the smirk that touched his features at his dragon's words. I won't be long, Ky. I promise and you know I keep my promises. he thought back to the watchful dragon near their ledge.

Randy leaned against V'zee, needing his support at the moment. She was still worried about what could happen. Riders should have to fight riders. And to even think about kidnapping one. If this so called small Weyr needed help why didn't they just ask? She was sure Cybele would have helped in any way she could without them having to resort to kidnapping and drugging.
"I hope so," she whispered. "I just want to come back and hold little Ranvik. I don't like the idea of us both leaving him, but I know we're both needed," she said softly.
Ransk gently headbutted their legs. I watch. No one hurt you, the red said with a bob of her head. I good protector. Tell Ky I watch His too.
Randy actually smiled a bit. "Ransk says she'll watch over both of us."

Q'del laid a hand on Toniel's forearm, squeezing it briefly before letting go. "I'll be sure to tell Demnoth everything, he can keep you posted." There seemed to be nothing else to say at this moment, so he went to his weyr and quickly grabbed the broadsword and dagger he had from his days as Heir to a Hold. They were still polished and sharp, though his skills were not really. He'd never thought he'd need to use them again. After this, if he lived through this, he vowed to begin practicing again.
He was quickly as prepared as he could be so he walked down to the Weyrling barracks to pick up his sister. They would be riding the same green, an older rider he barely knew had offered to take them.
Quindara walked out to greet him, armed with a long dagger Arktos had loaned her, just in case. She had thought about going to G'rett's weyr and getting his staff..but truthfully she'd be just as dangerous to herself as other with it, and it was only for comfort's sake that she wanted something of his. She nodded to her brother, swallowing past the lump in her throat. There were no words they could say to each other. Q'del had not wanted Quindara to come, but the look of determination on her face was enough to quell his protests. Conversely, she was glad to have her brother there. They might have their differences, but she knew that his strength would be an asset. The siblings arrived in the Bowl and nodded to Arktos before meeting the green who would be conveying them.
Arktos slipped his arm around Kiyoni's shoulder. "You and Eliwodth too," he said, his voice rough with emotion as he gripped her against him for a moment. He couldn't find words for all that was in his heart right then, but his eyes were full of them as he turned to kiss her lightly on the brow.
Finally everyone had arrived, and Arktos broke away from his weyrmate somewhat reluctantly to give out instructions. "Ok, I want every wherhandler to pair up with five greens. Thet'll make five teams. Try to make the number of fighters going along fairly even. Q'del and Quindara should go with Tess and Tesk. They'll be the ones going to G'rett's weyr from the ledge. I want Sanrev and Sanresk and Randy and Ransk and their greens to try to get into his weyr from the other side, through the door. Taja and Task, and me and Arkysk will guard the entrance and wait for the males to return. Once G'rett's weyr is secure, Sanrev and Sanresk's team should come back to the entrance if they don't have too many casualties, it is there we will see the most fighting. Remember, try to incapacitate the riders, not kill. Not only do we wish to show mercy, but the death of a dragon will only likely make the others more desperate, and it will distract our dragons. Once Shadow tells me the Flight has started, we will go."
Arktos walked over to Q'del, Quindara and Tess as soon as they had grouped together. "I'm trusting you three to make sure the substitution happens. My advices is to take the red's rider out of the room and bring her to another weyr nearby, and leave her there with somebody of her own weyr...then just watch the door and leave some greens on the ledge. Also leave Tesk and a green on Coth's ledge and leave some greenriders to guard that door. Tess, if its all right with you, I'd like you to stay outside on the ledge with Tesk so you can examine G'rett as soon as the Flight is over. We need to make sure he is a fit to fly and get him out of there as soon as its safe."
*****
Kanly bit her lip and nodded at El'dan. "I'm...all right..." Truthfully, she was scared to death. And also, she felt in heart that what they did was wrong and cruel. It dimmed her already less than stellar enthusiasm for the Flight to an abysmal low. But no one could dissuade K'ain...or no one dared try.
Suddenly, she felt the tenor of her dragon's thoughts takes on a new sharpness, sleep-fogged as they were. Their link suddenly felt....angry. Kanly gasped. "I...think... you'd better get out of here.." she said..though she wasn't at all sure that's what she really wanted. "Tell the males...she is going to rise any minute!"
((OOC-feel free to make up greenriders for your team...the weyr should have about 75 of them.))

Kiyoni stayed against Arktos as long as she could. She wanted the comfort of his arms, but knew they needed to get moving. There was no telling when the Flight would start and they couldn't miss their chance. "We will," she assured her. She knew Elliwodth wouldn't let anything happen. Rivi cheeped softly from her shoulder as well.
The green rider listened Arktos gave out instructions. It sounded like a good idea. And of course she was staying with him and Arkysk even if he didn't like it. She didn't figure being somewhere else would make it any easier on him.
~~~
Randy nodded slightly as she glanced at V'zee. She hoped no one would be seriously hurt. These new ones were riders after all. Even if they seemed a bit messed up. And Arktos was right. A dragon death wasn't good. "Ready, love?" she whispered to V'zee as she waited for her team of greens.
~~~
Tanly grabbed B'ren's hand and headed over with Randy and V'zee. She wasn't sure where they would really be the most help, but right now she just wanted to make sure she had a team.
~~~
Meera looked at M'lym before walking over with Sanrev and Sanresk. She knew M'lym would follow. "Be careful," she whispered to him.
~~~
T'tarel quickly found C'olt since the young Healer was his ride. "Which group do you want to go with?" the young bronzer asked, looking around at the wherhandlers.
~~~
"You'll be okay," El'dan said gently. "I know this is scary, but once you're locked with your dragon it will be the simplest thing." The blue rider just wished that Kanly had been able to choose. It wasn't fair that she was stuck with this bronze rider that she had never met. Flights were scary enough as it was.
The older man's eyes widened at her words. El'dan reached over and gave Kanly a hug. He didn't care if it was showing his soft side. "Be strong," he whispered to her before sprinting out of the room. Ty, let the others know she rises.
She rises! All males out! the blue said, knowing they were all supposed to leave.
((To Q’del, Quindara, Arktos, C’olt))
Tess watched Arktos critically as he spoke – not judgmental, exactly, but thoughtful. Not like Arkysk’s? Tesk asked curiously, bumping up against her handler’s legs to try and ease the worry sketched into her face. Tess spared the little grey a glance and forced a calming smile, It is the circumstance I don’t like – the handler I do not know. Tesk accepted this with a croon, No worrying, Tesk’s. Tess twitched an amused smile and bowed her head in gracious compliance. Right. No worrying.
I do not like this plan, Haseth murmured to A’ren and the Healer, picking up on Tesk’s concern for Tess. Tess gave no reply, but A’ren grunted his agreement. He didn’t like it either. As Arktos assigned teams, he quietly identified both Q’del and Quindara for his sister, offering them both an empty smile and waving them over. Quindara, at least, she knew. A Healer. Her heart gave a heavy thump and she resisted the urge to sigh – Healers were often asked to brave great danger to follow their oaths, but she wished she could brave this particular danger for the both of them. The infirmary staff wasn’t endless, and dragonhealers were especially scarce… she couldn’t help but feel a sort of motherly attachment for those who worked under her. Her smile, at least, was more convincing than her brother’s – she was well practiced.
“Tess, WeyrHealer.” She onfirmed to Q’del, then tilted her head to indicated the grey wher at her feet, “And grey Tesk. Glad to have your company, dragonrider.” A’ren nodded thoughtfully and offered his hand to the bronzerider, trying his best to sound cheerfull. “A’ren of blue Haseth,” he said to both, in case Q’del had forgotten and because Quindara had no reason to know him. Of course, he knew the silver weyrling, and nodded his respect.
Before further conversation could be had, Arktos had approached them, and both A’ren and Tess turned to hear him. Tess pursed her lips a little as the blackhandler told her what she would and wouldn’t do… not that she objected, per say, but this man wasn’t a Healer and his wher wasn’t gold… with a bit of effort, she shooed her misgivings aside. He was in charge of the mission, she would follow his lead. To an extent. And yes, he was right – so far G’rett was the one in need of the most immediate medical attention. She would tend him as soon as possible – during the Flight, if she could.
Why do we risk our young silver? I will come, Haseth rumbled in his rider’s head, though there was still a hint of questioning in his tone. “Arktos,” A’ren said quickly, hoping he could have a moment before the group left. “Must Haseth stay back? He will not Chase a Red and he’s fast in the air, good stamina for a blue and steady in a crisis,” he argued on his dragon’s behalf, earning a rather chilly look from his sister. She did not feel Haseth should be also risked in addition to everything else they were already risking. Rather than wait for Arktos to respond, she turned to search out C’olt.
Spotting the green weyrling, she stepped quickly to him and paused until his conversation lulled. “C’olt,” she spoke softly, as always, but there was an edge of unmistakable authority there that would have had A’ren arching his eyebrows. “While I would, of course, welcome you in my group, I trust you will find a team without a ranking Healer and see that damage is minimized. Please be careful.” No forgetting oaths, Tesk chimed in helpfully, and Tess smiled grimly.
Raziela, we have to go.
The bluerider hissed a breath between her teeth, her striking face rearranging itself into a hateful scowl. She didn't want to go anywhere! She wanted to stay right here in her weyr and fume over Lord K'ain and his outrageous request! He wanted her to talk to Kanly like she was her own child? Pah! Raziela, please. Chrysoberyth rises and you know what Lord K'ain said, came the blue's plaintive voice again, soft and worried in her mind.
The pretty rider ground her teeth angrily. She ought to have Tanyrth try for Chrysoberyth just to spite the man. Asking her to talk to his daughter about sex! Like she was some Gather-day whore of a greenrider! But she hated to think about what would happen, even if he lost. The brownrider might choose to skin her alive or whip her in front of the whole Weyr or something equally painful and humiliating. As slighted as she felt now, she wasn't quite stupid enough to tempt their leader's wrath. That was a beast she'd rather keep contained.
So with a glare and still muttering curses beneath her breath, she fetched her riding straps. She could feel the blue's lust beginning to rise in his body in reaction to the strong sensations radiating from the red beauty. It only made Raziela grind her teeth even more and she yanked hard on the straps as she tightened them, earning a yelp of pain from her blue. She didn't apologize either and mounted roughly, her toes scrabbling painfully against his hide. With a sorrowful expression, Tanyrth cast a glance back at his rider, to which Raziela responded with a yelled, "Turn around and fly you lazy beast!" Obediently he did just that, launching off smoothly. He allowed himself a needy glance at the red, unchecked by his rider. If he chose to fly now, she could claim it was out of her control. She couldn't stop him. But he knew his place better than she knew hers and they soon were between.
Toniel inhaled rapidly as the man gripped her forearm, fingers closing quickly on it and releasing with the same swiftness. Something about all of this had her heart in her throat, fluttering at the base and causing an ache in the pit of her stomach at the same moment. "Thank you," she breathed in gratitude, then watched as he left to retrieve his weapons. She told herself she just wanted to be kept in the loop as Cybele's Second, but she knew her worry was what made her so thankful. And it wasn't just worry for G'rett or the wherhandlers or the other riders who were leaving to go to a battle with riders they did not know. She was worried for Q'del and afraid that he might not return. And that scared her because then she'd never get the opportunity to get close to him.
Sanrev nodded in confirmation of Arktos' instructions. Hopefully, they would not need to be so aggressive, but if this group is ruled by a single man that has gone insane, then their actions were probably necessary. Touching a hand to his wher's dark hide, he mind spoke as he waited for five green dragons and their riders and passengers to assemble into groups about each of the wherhandlers. Please ask Arkysk if we are arriving outside of the Weyr or inside it. It made sense that they would start outside the Weyr due to dragons needing to be airborn more than anything to Between properly.
The dark wher hissed softly, feeding off the internal edgy feeling that his Bonded was suppressing to anyone studying him. Arkysk, Sanresk's ask arriving outside or inside Weyr? the brown asked with more curiousness to his tone than worry or question.
----------------------------
V'zee gave his mate a quick kiss and another easy smile. "We'll all be fine. Both us'll make it back to hold Ranvik. An' with Ransk watchin' o'er us, we'll be right as rain," he told her optimistically. It was so much easier to keep everyone in high spirits when he could. Though this situation was quite serious, a light hearted attitude that the end result will be just fine was all that they needed.
Once Arktos had explained the game plan to them, the bronzerider stayed with his mate until he could spot a green that looked to be able to handle him as an extra passenger. He was not going to tax Ransk with his weight along with Randy's. Not with this situation. Spying his ride with Taja and Task's group, he gave his mate a parting kiss and a smile. "Plenty ready an' I won't be far from ya'," he assured her before stepping away. Of course he was going to worry about her, but she had Ransk to protect her and he was fine leaving her with others, knowing that.
---------------------------------
Kikikaa fiddled with her long black plait as she waited for the two to three passengers she would be taking on Peronith, standing next to Arktos and Arkysk. She was not much of a fighter. It just was not her way. She would rather seek out peace and cheer versus battle, but she guessed things had to be this way. Peronith sat quietly next to her rider, preening to pass the time away while waiting. She had to be beautiful for all of these men that rode males. Hopefully one would catch her rider’s eye.
K’mik stood next to his sister, quarterstaff secured across his back, a rare emotion of seriousness on his face as he patted his sister’s back. “Everything will go just as planned,” he said cheerily. It had taken a lot of persuasion for Haydeth to allow him to go, finally winning on the fact that he was protecting his sister. The slinky brown settled for that and the company of his canine and Kikikaa’s two firelizards while he waited for his rider’s return anxiously.
K’kaar gave his sister and brother a good-hearted wink from where he stood nearest Tess and Tesk. He and Gemith were able to carry two extra passengers with her medium size, but the worst part was that she was due to rise sometime soon. She had begun glowing only the day before, so he knew he had nearly a sevenday until she took flight, but until then, he shifted quickly between happy and moody, depending on the way the wind blew. Both brothers were fighters, but only in pastime. This would be a test of their skills for sure. ((I’ll make sheets on these three soon!))
_______________________________________
Nocheth raised his head from where he sat quietly while his rider took his harness off of him. Chrysoberyth rises. he said nonchalantly. He knew that His had no desire to be with the red’s rider, but he also knew that His was thinking of that new bronze as well. Z’zak paused after his dragon’s statement and thought about listening to K’ain’s orders. Barely a wink Between passed before his ever active mind was made up. It was his window. He had to take it. “As sure as the Red Star, we’re stayin’ put, bud,” he said aloud, a determined look crossing his face. Sure, Nocheth would be lusty, but he could hold him back. He had done it several times over the last twenty turns. With a chuckle to himself, he finished with Nocheth’s harness, leaving the two main straps on for a hasty exit later if he absolutely needed it. He might just if K’ain found out early enough in the flight. Always have an escape route. With another smirk, he made his way on foot up to the weyr where the bronze’s rider and probably Kanly would be. He was not leaving her to do this alone. It would be a warm day Between when he did that to the poor girl.
B'ren mounted up behind Tanly, and strapped himself in before wrapping his arms around her waist. Arktos then gave the instructions. "I want every wherhandler to pair up with five greens. Thet'll make five teams. Try to make the number of fighters going along fairly even. Q'del and Quindara should go with Tess and Tesk. They'll be the ones going to G'rett's weyr from the ledge. I want Sanrev and Sanresk and Randy and Ransk and their greens to try to get into his weyr from the other side, through the door. Remember, try to incapacitate the riders, not kill. Not only do we wish to show mercy, but the death of a dragon will only likely make the others more desperate, and it will distract our dragons. Once Shadow tells me the Flight has started, we will go."
B'ren cleared his throat. "If we can move swiftly and quickly enough, we should be able to overpower any of those Green Riders that might be standing guard at the entrance to the weyr where G'rett is being held hostage. I've had...experience...in moving silently. If Cadalayith can get me close enough, I should be able to take out the guards from a distance without alerting any of the others."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
C'pher smiled when Sorbeth allowed him to clamber up and behind Mia. Securing himself in, he sniffed a couple of times and frowned. Lavender oil? Leaning in, he sniffed at the woman's collar of her tunic. Yep. C'pher leaned back and slipped his arms around her waist, giving her a reassuring hug. "We'll be fine," he said. "Just watch yourself out there, Mia. Zed would be upset if anything happened to you or Sorbeth."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
C'olt nodded at T'tarel when the other man mounted up, then pointed at four other Green Riders. "We'll go with those four." His attention was diverted for a moment when Tess walked up. "C’olt, while I would, of course, welcome you in my group, I trust you will find a team without a ranking Healer and see that damage is minimized. Please be careful." The Journeyman Healer reached down and clasped the WeyrHealer's right wrist. "I'll do what I can to keep our losses down. Just watch yourself, WeyrHealer. You're the best we've got, and I couldn't ask for anyone more qualified to tend to Wingleader G'rett." C'olt gave Tess a rare smile, then leaned back up. He looked over at B'ren when the Brown Rider suggested he would attempt a sneak attack on any guards that may be watching the entrance to where G'rett was kept. "It wouldn't be a bad idea, but remember we can't alert the rogue riders to our presence. Not until we've made sure G'rett and Coth are safely away."
------------------------------------------------------------------------
A servant - really, a young girl only fourteen turns of age, and one of the many Green Riders - ran up to the private quarters where her lord and master was. She, of course, had no idea whom his current guest was, and practically barged her way in and stopped short. Her mouth was agape, and she quickly caught her breath. "Lord K'ain," the girl said breathlessly. "Forgive me, my lord, but Chrysoberyth Rises."
K'ain was stripped down to nothing, hovering over Antera whom he had laid down on his large bed. He looked over his shoulder and scowled. Who was this servant who dared interrupt him when he was about to have his way with his woman? His ire was evident, but cold. It took him a few moments to let a cold smile come to his lips. "Order every Rider who rides a Blue and Brown out of the Weyr." Nodding her acknowledgment, the girl quickly turned and left, then K'ain turned his attention back to his lover. He sighed. "Come, my dear." K'ain rose to his feet and offered his hand to Antera. "Let us get dressed, then leave this Weyr together so we may watch our newly acquired Bronze pursue his prize."
Randy nodded, hoping V'zee was right. She didn't want to think about either of them being injured and not being able to get back to Ranvik. She leaned into his embrace before he headed off to his group. She had hoped that he would be able to stay with her, but maybe it was better if she couldn't see him. "Be careful!" she called as Ransk moved up beside her.
~~~~
Tanly glanced back at B'ren. She hoped everyone would be alright. "That might work," she agreed. "but please, don't get hurt if you try it."
I can get him close, Cadalayith said.
Tanly smiled slightly. "Cad says she'll get you close enough," the green rider passed on.
~~~
T'tarel nodded. "That works for me," the bronze rider said. He didn't care where he was as long as he was able to help. He sat quietly as C'olt talked with Tess. This was going to be hard on everyone. There was no doubt there.
~~~
Kiyoni got on Elliwodth as she waited for everyone else. She watched Arktos quietly. Once they got through this she'd make a point of talking to her mate. She hadn't wanted to worry him, but she couldn't sit and do nothing. She was just glad that he seemed to understand that.
~~~
El'dan glanced back at Kanly's weyr. He hated leaving the young girl on her own, but he wasn't sure what else to do. The Healer hurried out to his blue.
We could stay close, the blue offered. I wouldn't chase.
El'dan thought for a minute. Alright, Ty. Let's stay close, but not too close. I just want to make sure I'm here is something starts to go wrong with the Flight.
Tyverith did as he was instructed. El'dan hoped to Faranath that nothing went wrong for her. Kanly was such a sweet girl. K'ain didn't deserve her.
The green riders backed out of the room as Kanly wrung her hands nervously. She wasn't ready for this! Chrysoberyth was stirring in her sleep, and due to the turbulence of their link, Kanly knew her tail would be thrashing with agitation. She wanted nothing more than to run to her dragon, but she knew that it would be a futile gesture, as well as disobeying her father. She took a tentative step towards the bed where G'rett lay, still semi-conscious. Part of her was glad. He seemed less threatening that way.
Abruptly, Chrysoberyth was awake, bolting upright and lurching off her ledge with almost supernatural quickness, her hide as brilliant as a ruby. No male can hold me! she roared as she streaked high into the sky her eyes mad-red.
Kanly whimpered from fear at the rage she felt from her dragon, but slowly the thoughts of the red began to overpower her own. How dare they take all her males away?! There was an unfamiliar feeling racing through her veins, over and above the exhilaration she felt at the feeling of air rushing by and outside of her anger. Another dragonrider would have told her, had there been one nearby and conscious. It was lust. She took a step towards G'rett.
****
Arkysk replied to Sanresk quickly, as his bonded gave a quick nod towards Sanrev. Mine says we will land outside the weyr. I will give you the picture. Mine says each group will have a different picture from me and Shadow, so we will not be too big of a target when we get there. Also will confuse enemy, Mine says.
Arktos turned to A'ren. "As much as I'd like to have some males along, we can't risk it. Not that I don't trust Haseth, but if I let you go, every male rider will want their dragon along. its only natural. And it only takes one mistake to throw this plan into chaos. If the Flight is short, we will call the males in after it is over if there is still a need."
Q'del nodded to Tess and A'ren. "Glad to be flying with you." Quindara nodded to them, looking pale and slightly sick. So much that she loved was at stake today.
Suddenly, both Arktos and Quindara sat straighter, having had a report from Shadow and Forge who were watching. Arktos gestured for silence. "The males have left. Everyone mount up. You will all take your reference points from your group's wher. Each group will have a separate entry point given by Arkysk. Hopefully, this will throw the enemy into confusion."
There was a scramble as everyone boarded the greens and the wherhandlers straddled their whers. It would be a bit more dangerous for the smaller weyrs especially, to carry their riders even on such a short glide during the day. Luckily, the cold polar air was thicker. Arktos hoped everyone had dressed warmly. "All right, once you are mounted, all the dragons should get to a safe height for betweening. The whers will transfer from the ground. Everyone go on my mark."
Sorbeth was impatient as she waited for C'pher to climb up and settle in, and Mia could feel the green's tension not only underneath her but through the the link they shared as well. Sorbeth was raring to go, and eager to be getting on with it. She had a mission now! Mia blushed deeply as C'pher leaned closer to sniff her collar. Obviously he could smell the lavender oil. She could too. That was the whole point though, as Sorbeth would likely remind her. It did seem to be working a little though, but that could also have been C'pher's arms around her waist. If she could have blushed deeper then she would have as he gave her the hug, but she appreciated. Sorbeth snorted and shook her head from side to side when the comment about Zed was made. Zeddicuth would be upset, or Zeddicuth's? she commented to Mia, earning a shy giggle in response. Nothing's going to happen to us, we'll be fine. Zeddicuth's included. Looking back over her shoulder at C'pher behind her Mia relayed the message. "Sorbeth says we'll be fine, you included," she reported with a soft smile.
Shortly afterwards, it was time to be ready and Sorbeth launched from the ground, gaining height till she was hovering comfortably with powerful beats fro her wings. Mia's breath caught a little was she waited for the final signal and took a slightly tighter hold of the strap in front of her, leaning back into C'pher some more for the reassurance he was, likely unknowingly, providing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From the moment of Arkysk's first call, Taja slipped the blindfold over Task's sensitive eyes and led him out into the Weyrbowl. It took herself a moment or two to adjust to the light herself, but it didn't take long. Though one look at Arktos' attire and she felt severely under-dressed. And considered that maybe Task was too. Shards, she was a tanner - she should be able to make leather armour for her wher no problem, yet she hadn't! Though, in her own defence she hadn't really expected to need armour for herself, especially not for her wher.
Her thoughts about how she would go about making Task some armour were interrupted when Arktos began to speak to everyone gathered. Team of 5 greens, she and Task were standing guard with Arktos and Arkysk. Got it. She'd be fine providing that she wasn't required to remember the names of the riders in her 'team'. Though she'd likely remember the names of the dragons. It was one of those things.
She turned to the group that had gathered near her, assuming that they were coming along with her. "Taja, Task," she said, pointing at herself, then at her wher. Simple, nothing more needed. With a questioning look she pointed to each rider and then their green, logging the names away roughly for reference if nothing else. In reality she was more likely to point and say 'you, you and you!' etc etc. Or describe the dragon. Something like that, she'd make herself clear when necessary. It wasn't long before Arktos was once again gesturing for silence, and informed them all that the males had left. She slipped aboard Task's broad back after having made sure the the blindfold covering his photosensitive eyes was loose enough for her to just yank off from where she was sat. Ready? she asked him. There was an unspoken affirmative from the reddish brown. The lets teach some rogues a lesson! Task tensed as he waited for the signal to go.

M'lym mounted up onto Vanlith's back behind Meera. It was a short jump compared to mounting his own Iverasth, and he looked down uncomfortably. This didn't feel very secure at all. He was used to his solid bronze, not a comparably tiny green.
Do not worry...Vanlith is a dragon. She will carry you well,[/color] Iverasth said. He felt strange seeing his rider on another dragon, but he knew that his green friend could be trusted to take good care of M'lym.

Vanlith stood at attention, ready to go as soon as they got the go ahead. Meera glanced back at M'lym. "You okay back there?" she asked. She could tell that he seemed a bit uneasy on her green, but there wasn't much she could do about that. She was sure the bronze rider would rather be on his bronze, but it would be too risky. "I promise you Van is safe," she smiled. "She won't break with two of us on." Meera was doing her best to lighten the mood before they all had to face whatever came next.

Z'zak froze in his step, leading up to the weyr Kanly and the bronze were currently occupying. Nocheth had almost moved to chase, sandy tail flicking back and forth in agitation as he sat hunched, eyes whirling as he watched Chrysoberyth take to the skies. He wanted to chase her so badly, but His was holding him back with a firm command. His rider saw Hers as nearly a child of his, having helped in her training as a rider. Z'zak fought the urges of his dragon while he crouched in waiting near the weyr, recognizing which of their mere riders stood guard. This was going to be a very rough maiden flight for her, he was almost certain of it.

Outside Weyr, Sanresk's. Arkysk give Sanresk picture. Sanresk and Sanresk's go different place. Confuse enemy. Sanresk told his Bonded in answer to the black wher's response. Sanrev nodded to his wher's response, giving Arktos a signal that confirmed he had received the message. At Arktos' command, the Handler gracefully slipped astride his tall wher and fingered the laces to the dark brown's hood in hopes that it would be dark enough where they were going for Sanresk to be as much of a help as possible. While the pair stood upon the ground, both tense and ready for the CandidateMaster's cue to go Between.
-----------------
V'zee mounted a green dragon with soothing thoughts reaching out to his bronze. At least he was not riding a blue or brown or another bronze. He was most certain that Kyanath would have thrown a fit the size of Between had it gone that route. As the green he rode took flight, he glanced toward the ground at his mate and her red wher, readying for the trip Between. Ransk would take care of her. He had much faith in her.
----------------------
Kikikaa checked that her hastily mounted couple of riders were secured to Peronith's flight straps then she warned them that they were taking wing. Peronith gracefully launched herself into the air, holding a formation with the other four greens in their group. There, she hovered, waiting for the image from the black wher to send them Between.
--------------------------
K'mik had gotten astride his sister's green, settling quickly as he secured himself in. When Peronith leapt for the skies, he could not help the comparison to that of his long brown pacing his ledge. Haydeth was not going to settle until K'mik had returned safe and sound.
----------------------
K'kaar leapt aboard his green and checked that his passengers had gotten secured before he gave Gemith the signal to rise to the skies. She was smooth and her launch into the air hardly shook her riders as she formed with the others, awaiting Arktos' signal to Between to a location given them by Arkysk.

Coth's head shot up as soon as the Red launched from her ledge and out through the only passageway leading into the dormant volcano that served as a Weyr. The Bronze's eyes were shot through with a vibrant red, and when the female dragon gave her challenge yet roared with frustration over the lack of males, Coth decided to give this pretty ruby thing a show. Launching from his own perch, the mighty Bronze rocketed through the passage and into the air. Lovely maiden, I shall Chase you until you are mine![/b][/i]
G'rett could feel a familiar sensation overtake his entire body from the moment his bonded pursued his prize. That was good, now that the fellis was starting to wear off. But what he didn't expect was the drowsiness to be replaced with a burning lust that stirred deep within. The Bronze Rider struggled against the bonds that held him; his eyes were now firmly focused on the young woman slowly but surely making her way towards him. Sweat was covering his brow, and the muffled groans escaped from him. The moment his hands and feet were free, and the gag removed; he'd show this maiden a thing or two. G'rett would have his way with her, and the female Rider would know what it was like to experience the raw passion that was now coursing through his veins like fire.
------------------------------------------------------
K'ain watched his prized Bronze chase his daughter's Red through the skies. He and most of the Riders were a good distance from the dormant volcano; far enough to avoid having the other male dragons compete, but close enough should anything go wrong. The man was dressed warmly to ward off the chill, but his own smile mirrored the cold. Everything was going according to his plan. Soon, he would have what he wanted. A Silver dragon.
He was so caught up in the affair, that he didn't think to look for his trusted lieutenant Z'zak nor the Healer El'dan...
