Rivi slowly crept toward Cheriss again. He cheeped softly as he studied the spoon. The blue grabbed the food and nibbled on it as he looked up at Cheriss with whirling blue eyes. He had settled down once Cheriss had.
Kiyoni shook her head. Her blue could be so goofy at times. The search rider looked at the twins. "Well, I hope I don't get you two in trouble," she said. Although they both looked old enough to make their own choices. She wasn't quite sure why Elliwodth wanted to see the twins, but she had a pretty good guess. And if she was right then they would have to make their own choices. "And don't worry about Elli. She doesn't scare as easy as Rivi does," she smiled.

Now that they had agreed to meet Kiyoni's Elli, the twins could no longer eat. Demariss tried to eat a few more bites to be polite to their dinner guest, but Cheriss had given up on the meal. Spooning out another chunk, the candle making teen held it out for Rivi once more. She figured it was better to feed the little guy than to let the food go to waste.
Tentatively she reached out once more to scratch the handsome blue. Cheriss thought the flitter was one of the more handsome creatures she had seen in a good while. Demariss's thoughts were on a different track. More along the lines of why the dragon wanted to see the twins. Yes they had an older brother that had been searched, but the talent didn't always run in families. Most of the time it skipped generations.
To stop this wayward thinking, Demariss looked around the room at the people he had known since childhood. If they were searched like Remiss, would anyone miss them? Suddenly full, Demariss set his own spoon down as quietly as he could. Folding his hands in his lap he settled in to wait patiently until their guest had finished her meal.

Kiyoni watched the twins as she finished her meal. Reflecting on it now she probably should have waited to tell them that Elliwodth wanted to meet them. She really hadn't thought about the effects that news would have on them. She hid a giggle as she watched Rivi.
The little blue was quite content. He accepted the food and crooned happily as Cheriss scratched him. He definitely wasn't above receiving attention. And Cheriss was good at scratches.
The search rider finished her meal and set her spoon down. "Alright, I can see neither of you want to finish eating. It was very good by the way. So, if you're ready we can go see Elli."

Demariss, being the thoughtful one, took up everyone's plates to place in the wash bins. All the while he had a huge grin on his face. It wasn't everyday that you met your first dragon. Once he had placed the dirty dishes in the bin, he spun around to find his sister half way to the door. Shards, doesn't the girl have any manners? One would think she was raised by wherries. Or a bunch of men. Well I guess that is what happened. He grinned at his own joke.
While her brother was taking care of the plates, Cheriss wanted to get a head start. Blame sibling rivalry, but this was one thing the younger sibling wanted to win. So with a last scratch on Rivi's head and a nod to Kiyoni, Cheriss stood to go. Skipping like a bratling, Cheriss wove her way through the crowds. Once she made it to the doorway, she stopped to wait. As anxious as she was, it wouldn't do to leave the rider nor her brother behind.

Kiyoni watched the siblings with a bit of a smile. She remembered constantly trying to outdo her older brother. She nodded her thanks as Demariss took the empty plates. Rivi crooned softly before hopping back onto Kiyoni's shoulder.
The search rider stood up and followed Cheriss, looking around for Demariss. She didn't want to leave him behind. "Alright, Elli's outside sunning herself and is looking forward to meeting the both of you. Are you both ready?" she asked when Demariss joined them again.
