OOC: I know there's probably revisions to make, Kit, but here he is finally!
About the character:

Age: 18 (5th day, 2nd month)
Rank: Nova Hold Heir
Gender: Male
Orientation: Heter
Family (name, age, rank, location, at least)

Father: Lord Holder Hiltaris-42-Nova Hold
Siblings: Tarisol-15(M), Dolaris-13(F), Tarlia-10(F), Hildol-8(M)
Weyrmate/Lover: Ranelli (but she has yet to return the affection)-15-Nova Weyr
Children: None Yet
Other:
Physical Description: Tardol stands around 6 feet tall and is quite well put together. He is well fit, neither too muscular nor too thin or gangly looking, always carrying himself straight and tall, but not looking rigid like some Holders and their Heirs. His dark hair is left long and always pulled back in a well-groomed runnertail, his dark green-hazel eyes standing out just enough to let one know that he is paying attention to them. His facial hair grows very slowly, giving him an evening shadow every few days or so, and so he keeps himself clean shaven. Often seen wearing the colors of Nova Hold since he is their Heir, his clothing is usually wrinkle free at the beginning of the day and still clean, yet slightly wrinkled by the end of the day. He prefers short-sleeved tunics to the traditional proper long-sleeved and wears a wherskin vest with several pockets that allows him to keep things that he finds throughout the day or has to keep a hold of for some reason. Only a beltknife can be noted on his person, resting on his right side and the hilt decorated with small gems, one of his few fancier belongings.
Personality: Tardol is not your typical Holder’s Heir snob, but more of a kind-hearted young man. He is respectful of his elders, but does not always like to follow orders and it can be noted in little ways about his appearance and attitude toward life in general. He prefers to fetch his own laundry over servants bringing it to him. He prefers to see others served before himself, liking the effect that it holds, especially with the ladies, but his heart belongs only to one. He has leadership qualities, but he prefers to go about such duties with more consideration and compassion than most folk of his rank, believing that everyone is equal in their own rights as people. Tardol is far from the stiff young gentleman that would sit high and watch a game, preferring to be in the game himself. He is forever patient and attempting to woe his childhood love, Ranelli, and since she had ran away from their wedding, he has vowed to go after her and hope to persuade her to come back with him, wanting only the best for her, whatever that is that she desires.
History: Tardol was born the first son to the Lord and Lady Holders of Nova Hold and has been deemed the heir to the Hold since. He had a normal childhood compared to most up until his 8th turn when he was thought to be able to start learning about his proper place on Pern. Though he would rather be playing than learning about the boring things that come with running a Holding, he was obedient and attentive as much as he possibly could be, but adventures still called his name round ever corner and in every nook and cranny.
At 10 turns of age, he was given some responsibilities about the Holding in checking inventory and trying to predict what would be needed when and where. And at 12 turns, he was given many more duties, only ever checking things with his father before finalizing his decisions. There were times when he would run off with other Holdbrats and neglect his duties, but what young lad would not do such a thing? Sure there was punishment to go through, but Tardol seemed to love every minute of it.
At 15 turns, Tardol began looking for courtship, though he really did not want to. He wanted to explore Pern a bit more and be a normal lad, but deep down, he knew that he could never be that way. He was expected to obey his elders and eventually be Lord of Nova Hold when his father decided to step down. Sure he had other brothers, but he was still the better choice for the role.
Tardol’s 16th turn was a turning point in his ways of thinking. It was then that he had met Ranelli, the only daughter of the Holders of Crooked River Hold. To Tardol, it was love at first sight. An overwhelming sense of belonging and wanting to please her and only her. Yes, she had to be the one and that changed his attitude about his rank for the better, his father liking the change. Not a few months later, he asked to court her and they began their relationship, though Tardol failed to see that it was more one sided than he thought. A month or so later, Nova Hold’s heir purchased a firelizard egg from a passing Trader caravan, uncaring as to what color lie within. It would help him in many ways. From that egg, not a sevenday later, hatched a little green and he lovingly named her after his one true love. Later that turn, Tardol took another step closer to Ranelli when her brother had died in a runner race, staying by her side to comfort her and make her smile in whatever way he could.
At 17 turns, Tardol took the next step further in a relationship and asked Ranelli for her hand in marriage. To his delight, she had accepted and wedding plans were soon underway as he continued to spend as much time as possible with her. Yes, he was marrying for love, not for power or tradition, though she was 3 turns his junior.
Now in his 18th turn, the wedding had been set and was about to go underway when the morning of revealed that Ranelli was nowhere to be found. Tardol was distraught, but masked his worries as he went about looking for his bride-to-be, but she could not be found. The higher ranks of the Weyr had shown up right on schedule, but there was no Ranelli of Crooked River Hold to be found and so, Tardol was at a loss. Just where had she gone and was she okay? After a long search, word came back that Ranelli had made it to the Weyr and was being housed there until things were sorted out.
Finally having the courage to send a letter to Ranelli via his little green Elli, Tardol now anxiously waits for a hopeful response. If he had to, he would go to the Weyr himself and express his love even more so to her, uncaring of who might be watching them.
