D'mar had hoped that after four months of Weyrling lessons that he would have gotten the hang of things, but more comfortable in a kitchen than a class room D'mar felt he was falling far behind. Even with his sister to help him, the green rider wasn't exactly keen on asking for help. So where did that leave the cook? Not exactly in the fire just yet but he was definitely skirting the edge of the pan there if you asked him.
But who could he ask for help? It wasn't as if he had made a lot of friends here at the Weyr since Impressing Sionnth. While the young green took a mid-day nap, D'mar decided to take advantage of his down time and try to work his way through his troubles. Naturally that meant the teen could be found in the kitchens. Well under normal situations that is. Today however there was more than enough help in the busy kitchen, so the former cook found himself sipping on klah in the dining room.
Eyes cast down at the table, D'mar wondered if he would make it through training his first time around. He had no worries that his sister, Cheriss would make it, but then again his sister was more hide-smart than he was. The physical portions of the training held no trouble for him, but if things kept up like this D'mar would fall behind on the studying and written portions of the training days. Maybe a tutor wasn't a bad idea after all....

Katleya had just gotten back from a successful Search. She was beaming happily as she headed for the Dining Cavern to get a quick bite to eat and some klah. Azariaith headed up to his ledge to enjoy the remaining sun.
The young blue rider grabbed a plate of food and some klah before looking around for a place to sit. She smiled when she caught sight of a certain green rider. She hadn't seen much of his recently. Which wasn't surprising since he was still a weyrling and the weyrlings were always busy with their lessons. But it seemed like he had something on his mind, so she headed that way.
"Mind some company?" she asked D'mar.
