M'cal smiled and led his sister to the Caverns. He glanced about the Weyr at the dozens of dragons of every color and could not help but feel somewhat peaceful. This was what a Weyr should be. This was how they should have lived from the moment their dragons first cracked shell. This was completely right to him.
Approaching the Cavern, the blueriding teen smiled again. This cavern was not cold and forsaken. It was warm and inviting. Leading his sister in, he looked for the knots he had studied from Z'zak's sketches of what proper knots looked like. The man had always been different than K'ain, like he had something under his skin about being second in command. He had not seen anything of him since the ordeal the week before. Thoughts aside, the bluerider searched for the Weyrleader knots and smiled, leading his sister toward them for congratulations. "That's the new Leader and the Weyrwoman," he said with a smile.

Kikikaa turned somewhat quickly at the kiss, Trouble having been too busy eying up the foodstuffs to have noticed someone coming up on his Pet. Treasure had been busy preening, but why keep an eye out for her Pet in a safe place? The green fluttered a bit at her Pet's movement, tail whipping quickly around Kikikaa's neck to save her balance before relaxing again and attempting to find her regal composure again. Trouble was too preoccupied with the foodstuffs to bother doing anything more than flying about his Pet's head. With a smile and a soft chuckle, Kikikaa took C'pher's proffered arm and answered him. "You're forgiven, C'pher and you look handsome today," she said cheerily, before continuing with a glance about the Cavern, "Is over there okay with you?" She gestured toward a few empty seats at two different tables. Either would suffice her without a problem.

Cybele pulled open the door at the sound of the knock and smiled to see it was T'tarel. "Why, you're looking quite dashing this evening," she said with a smile, taking his arm. "Ill be the envy of every girl in the weyr." Of course, being a goldrider, it was hard not to be the envy of every girl in the weyr, but having a handsome man on your arm was enough to make others curse your good fortune. Of course, few of them had even an inkling about how much work her position entailed.
She smiled and nodded in response to all the greetings as they made their way to the Dining Hall, noting by habit which riders seemed unhappy. But most smiles were genuine. Cybele feared little from the new riders, most had been genuinely grateful to get out from under K'ain's rule. Z'zak was still iin confinement, though he'd been brought back to the weyr this morning. She had a feeling he'd come around eventually. Kanly had found a friend in Quindara. Cybele had been highly impressed by how the silver weyrling had handled herself during the rescue mission. Perhaps it would soon be time to reconsider the old Ista Island venture...She shook her head to clear her ponderings as they approached the dining cavern. That Raziela, now she bore watching she though as they took their seats at the head of the table. Cybele smiled at T'tarel, feeling a sense of releif that now the Weyrleader's chair was not empty. Though it had been mainly Chandrath's doing, Cybele still felt a slight sense of accomplishment.

Q'del breathed a great relieved breath at Toniel'ssmile, though he hadn't realized he'd been holding it, and felt his own mouth curve into a smile in response. "Thank you, you llok very nice this evening as well." That was short of the mark, really he thought she looked absolutely radiant, but he restrained himself from gushing and offered his arm. "Shall we go down? We wouldn't want to keep them waiting." Plus he was starving, he'd been so worked up today he'd barely eaten.
*****
Arktos looked up as Kiyoni called his name and smiled, his grouchiness evaporating at the sight of his mate. Maybe it wasn't the most elaborate thing she'd ever worn, but since she frequently stole his breath in her riding leathers, perhaps it was for the best. "You look gorgeous. Are you ready to go?" he asked, standing with slight wince of pain. Forge flew to his pet's shoulder with a trill, not liking to be left behind ever since the rescue mission. Arkysk meanwhile, was sleeping soundly, still slightly exhausted from their endeavors.
******
K'von waved back to his brother, eyeing him shrewdly. "You okay?" he asked him, followed by a firelizard chorus of croons of concern. M'thos waved at him distractedly, fidgeting and looking around. The brown weyrling wondered what those two had been up to during the Flight, certainly his own time had been interesting, but fairly uneventful. He hadn't expected it to be that strong, and Cenuoth had asked someshrewd questions when the drug had worn off. Luckily the brown didn't seem to bothered by any of it, just curious.
*****
Quindara and Kanly greeted the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader and then Quindara saw G'rett. She grinned widely and Kanly had to smile. "You go to him and I'll go talk to El'dan," she said, not wanting to come between her friend and her love. Quindara waved and smiled as she went over to him, grabbing his hand. "You look nice. Trying to make all the other girls jealous?"
Kanly meanwhile, true to her word, walked over to El'dan. He looked like he was in pain and she felt bad, since she knew he had only stayed at the weyr to make sure she was all right. "Hello El'dan. Are you all right? Can I get you something to drink?"
******
Tesni grabbed a glass of red wine from the table, swirling the complicated substance in her mouth. Normally she preferred something sweeter, but tonight it seemed appropriate. Finally, she saw the man she'd been looking for, Sanrev, take his seat, so she waltzed over and took a seat beside him. "Good evening Sanrev. How are you feeling today?"

T'tarel smiled when Cybele opened the door. "And you look lovely," he smiled, setting his hand over hers. "I don't know. I think you'll turn every man's head tonight," he said, his eyes dancing. He still couldn't believe that Reloith had caught Chandrath. Cybele was kind and funny and T'tarel was looking forward to getting to know her better.
The Weyrleader walked into the Dining Cavern beside the Weyrwoman. He looked around at everyone. They all seemed so happy. Even the ones who had been under K'ain. He sighed softly. He hoped things worked out with them. He followed Cybele up to the head table. The bronze rider took a deep breath before sitting down. This was all new to him and he hoped he was ready. He returned Cybele's smile.
~~~~ Kiyoni smiled when she saw her mate. "Thank you," she said softly. She had hoped he would like the dress. She knew it wasn't the most elaborate, but it was comfortable and not hard on her ribs. "I am. Are you?" she asked, cringing when she saw him wince. Rivi chittered happily from her shoulder. The blue loved attention.
~~~~ {{To Kanly}} El'dan looked up when Kanly approached. He gave the young red rider a smile. He hadn't gotten a chance to see her since coming to Nova. He had spent quite a while in the infirmary. "Hello, Kanly," he said, keeping his breathing steady. "You seem to be settling in nicely." The blue rider shook his head. "No, I'm alright." He didn't want her worrying about him.
~~~ {{To M'cal}}
Kikaya stayed close to M'cal as they walked into the Dining Cavern. She still felt a little out of sorts in her new dress. She just wasn't used to it. The girl looked around at everyone. She had never seen so many people smiling before. The gray rider followed her brother's indication. "I remember him," she whispered, thinking back to when they had first met the Nova riders.
((To Tesni))
Neek looked up at the flurry of motion to discover that it was the woman that had cared for his Pet while his Pet had slept after the Big Fight. Crooning softly in greeting to her, he went back to nibbling and grabbing at Sanrev's fingers that were finding all the ticklish spots and making him squirm before trying to pin the offending hand merrily.
Sanrev could not stop the smile that touched his lips as he realized just whom had taken up a seat next to him. One sevenday at the Weyr and he was already starting to find fancy again. His sister would be happy to hear that when next he wrote her. "Evenin', miss Tesni," he said softly to keep his ribs from hurting. After a moment's pause of not only glancing at what she wore, but also the drink in her hand, he answered her question slowly, "Alright. Movin' more today. ... You look nice this eve," he finished, briefly wondering what sort of effect his observation would cause on the Healer Rider.
Toniel could feel her smile threatening to take over her face, even if no one else would see the same ear-splitting grin. Her features were small, petite and even if she had not trained them into impassiveness, they would not have shown emotion as clearly as more lively faces. But still she could not deny that she felt something for the Wingleader and that things had definitely changed for them yesterday. Though lust might have been a contributing factor, she had given herself freely to him and had no regrets. She dipped her chin in acknowledgement of the compliment, smile growing slightly. Then she took the arm he offered her. "No, we wouldn't, would we. It will be nice to see our new Weyrleader." Of course she knew who it was, but she was interested in seeing how T'tarel took his new role as Weyrleader, quite a leap from being a Wingleader.
((To Kikaya/T'tarel))
Z'zak smiled and stepped up to the Leaders, giving them the respectful bow that K'ain had never seen. "Congrats an' thank ya'," he said sincerely. T'tarel had been the one to accept that they had not wanted to fight, but had wanted to go with them without question. They had wanted the real way of dragonriding. The way M'cal had heard about from his parents and travelers to South Sands Hold.
{{To M'cal}}
T'tarel smiled at the siblings. He was glad to see them settling in so well. He glad to see all the riders settling in. "Thank you and I hope you both are settling in alright," he smiled.
Kikaya nodded as she stayed close to M'cal. It wasn't that she feared T'tarel. He had been kind after all. It was just the whole idea of being this close to the Weyrleaders. "Congratulations to both you and the Weyrwoman," she said, curtsying in her new dress. She never would have thought to do that with K'ain.
