After a very satisfactory, and surprisingly relaxing morning with T'tarel, Cybele decided that a Feast was in order. In a way, she just wanted the Weyr to share in her own happiness, but she also knew that everyone would welcome a chance to celebrate after their losses during the rescue mission. And after so long without a Weyrleader, having one again was sure to lift everyone's spirits. Besides, she and T'tarel had some new appointments to make, some promotions to announce, and most of the rogue riders needed to be added to the wings. Some still refused but most were happy to be welcomed to Nova.
She had already announced the Feast to the Weyr's inhabitants, and the cooks were working double time. The only part about the Feast she didn't relish was the dressing up part. But it wasn't so bad this time, because she really wanted to impress T'tarel and wrest a few dances out of him.
So, she picked out a gray and green gown she hadn't worn in a while that emphasized her delicate features and wound her hair into an elegant updo. There were noises in the weyr beyond and she turned, hoping it was T'tarel. She wondered idly if they would end up sharing this weyr or if he would keep himself to the Weyrleader's weyr next door. She hoped for the first choice.
*******
Q'del readied himself for the Feast with an odd smile on his face. Yesterday had been interesting to say the least. He was glad to have a Weyrleader, because it lessened his burden considerably, But it was the gains he had made with Toniel that he was truly happy about, and he could only hope they would not disappear.
After some thought, he unwound his hair from its usual braid, it hung nearly to his waist in a fiery curtain. His tunic was sapphire blue with bronze accents and he oants and boots were dark tan wherhide, a recent purchase. He thought he looked acceptable. He went out on the ledge to say goodbye to Demnoth, who only crooned sleepily, and then he went next door to Toniel's weyr and knocked on the door.
*****
Arktos fastened the laced of his dark red tunic with many the pained grumble. Both his shoulder and leg were paining him fiercely, and he much rather would have spent the day in bed. Sharding Feast anyhow, he didn't see why it was required. Well, really he did understand, but he was feeling especially surly. His only consolation was that Kiyoni would probably be wearing something stunning and he would have her all to himself. He grinned at the thought.
*****
Quindara and Kanly were in the Weyrling barracks getting ready, having struck up an odd friendship after the rescue. Quindara felt sorry for the younger girl, who'd obviously had nothing like a normal life. And Chrysoberyth was really a dear to Artemth. Plus it had been deemed that Kanly and many of the younger riders of the rebel weyr could use a few more months of accelerated weyrling training since what they were getting from K'ain was very...consistent. Quindara had also loaned Kanly one of her gowns, a red one. It was a bit long, but workable. Quindara herself was wearing a gown of emerald green and black. She smiled at their reflections in the mirror. "There now. You're sure to have all the boys asking to dance with you."
Kanly blushed. "I don't know...If you say so, Quindara. But you don't have to worry. G'rett has eyes only for you," she said knowingly. Now it was Quindara's turn to blush as Shadow landed quietly on her shoulder. Kanly once aain cast a covetous but friendly eye on the firelizards. She had never seen one till she arrived at Nova. Finally, both girls were ready and they made their way to the Dining Cavern with a few conspiratorial giggles.
They waved hello to K'von and M'thos on the way, both of whom were looking just a bit older and wiser after the Goldflight yesterday, if a little tired. M'thos especially looked a bit nervous and kept looking around as if he expected someone. He was wearing the same white and blue tunic he'd worn to the Hatching Feast, while K'von was wearing a fairly simple tunic of dark blue covered by a sable vest. His firelizards settled on his head an shoulders like some sort of bizarre headdress, but otherwise they were behaving well.
Tesni greeted the boys as she went through the door, dressed in more feminine clothing than most people thought she owned. A simple off the shoulder bodice of light cream with a hunter green vest over top and a matching green skirt cut in the trader fashion, showing her knee high lace up boots. She hoped to catch a certain gaurdsman's eye.

T’tarel pulled out a dark red tunic with black embroidery on it to go with his black wherhide pants. He wanted to look his best for Cybele that night. He had enjoyed his leisure time with her earlier and hoped to maybe get some more time with her later on. He left his shoulder length hair hanging and pulled part of it back in a black clip to match his outfit. A silver accented belt and new black boots completed the outfit.
The new Weyrleader walked over and knocked on the Weyrwoman’s door. He was still unsure of how to proceed with this. He wasn’t sure if Cybele would ever want him to move in with her or if she would rather keep it like they were with him in the Weyrleader’s weyr. He would really rather be with her, but he wasn’t going to push anything.
~~~
Kiyoni carefully pulled on a dark green long dress. The dress had a low cut v-neck and billowing sleeves. The bodice came in at her waist and showed off her curves, but thankfully didn’t press in too hard on her still sore ribs. Recooping was not going well. She would rather just snuggle up with Arktos then go to a Feast, but maybe it would be worth it. She brushed out her long hair before pulling it up on top of her head, Rivi soon landing on her shoulder to complete the outfit. Kiyoni smiled and walked out to find her mate. “Arktos?” she asked, looking around.
~~~~
Meera had chosen a dark blue sleeveless dress for the Feast. Her dark hair was left down and pulled to one side, so that it framed her delicate face. She also had on a pair of black lace up boots and a silver belt around her waist. She grinned and went to find M’lym. Hoping he would approve of the outfit.
~~~~ Tanly pulled on a long sleeve green dress that matched Cadalayith’s hide. The dress rested on the sides of her shoulders, but covered her casted wrist. It also had a brown belt to match Chiath and brown leather around the cuff of the sleeves. She had pulled her long red locks up in a fashionable updo and left some framing her face. The dress also had a slit up to thigh in the side, which showed off her dress boots. She smiled as she clasped a necklace around her neck, wondering what B’ren would think. The green rider then went out to see how her mate was getting along.
~~~~ Randy carefully pulled a deep red dress over her head. She didn’t want to cause another headache or bump the still tender cut. She settled the dress in place and then tied up the side ties. There were a few beads along the neckline of the dress and the cut of the dress accented her figure nicely. She pulled her dark hair up in a twist and secured it with a comb. “V’zee?” she asked. “Are you ready?”
~~~~ Calyssa wore the same red dress she had worn after the Hatching. She had also chosen to leave her hair down that day, but had pulled part back so it wasn’t in her eyes. She straightened the necklace J’sen had given her and pulled on a pair of shoes. She was nervous and excited about seeing J’sen again. Since the flight she caught herself blushing whenever she saw him. Storm chittered softly as he sat on his pet’s shoulder.
S’tex had also put on the same outfit from the Hatching. He wondered if he’d bump into Cheriss again as he headed for the Dining Cavern. He wouldn’t mind a chance to talk to her again.
Kikaya glanced over at Quindara and Kanly. The young gray rider felt really out of place. She hadn’t made any friends and now they were supposed to go to a Feast? She didn’t want to. All she had to wear were the dark pants she had on and the tunic she was just pulling on. She already felt out of place and she wasn’t even with the others yet. The girl sighed softly and hurried off to find M’cal. She really would have rather just found a quiet place and hidden there for a bit.
Katleya had chosen an icy blue dress that night to wear. She sat quietly in the Dining Cavern glancing around for D’mar. She wondered if the green weyrling would try to avoid her that night. She hoped not. She had taken extra time to do up her shoulder blade length hair and pick out the right outfit. She had enjoyed her time with D’mar, but she knew he was still a weyling.
El’dan slowly made his way to the Dining Cavern. He was still extremely sore and not so sure he really wanted to be there. But he couldn’t find a good enough reason to stay behind either. The blue rider sighed as he limped over to a vacant chair. Like Kikaya he also only had his every day pair of pants and tunic. Although he had done his best to brush out his hair and make himself look at least presentable. If one could get over the sight of all the cuts and bruises along his face and hidden under his clothes.
G’fal had made sure all the weyrlings were doing all right before getting dressed himself. He had chosen a dark brown pair of pants that night and a coppery red tunic. He also had on a belt that he had made himself and his belt knife attached. He made his way to the Dining Cavern, hoping to see a certain Healer while he was there.
V'zee finished tying up the laces to his sandy-colored tunic, one of the few lighter colors he owned. That, and the tunic had slightly bigger sleeves that allowed comfort on the wraps about his arm. He had had a hard time the past few days getting those wraps to stay in place with his normal clothing. His wavy black hair was in its usual fashion with a small plait disappearing into the waves that reached the middle of his back. He wore his usual dark brown wherhide pants and typical black pair of boots. He only owned the one pair and nothing more. "Yeah, Love, I'm ready," he said as he stepped into the interior of their shared weyr, finishing the last tie before looking up to give her a smile. "Ya' ready?" he asked.
Vikki trilled happily from his perch atop Ransk, not ready to move from the warmth just yet. ------------------------ Kanretia finished up her latest mimic of her son's hairstyling ideas with her hair pulled up at the back and left to fall in ringlets that came from steaming her hair. She had to hand it to her son. He sure knew how to make her look beautiful inside and out. She could not wait for her boys to come to the Weyr. They had all expressed an interest the last time she visited and so she had something more to look forward to. After slipping into a floor-length gown with three-quarter length sleeves and three shades of green, she finished her look with a glittering necklace made by another of her boys. She was not out to impress anyone. Just herself and her dragon. "What do you think?" she asked of her green.
Lovely, as always, Oceanth replied happily, Intrigue chirping his approval of his Pet's look.
"I'll see you in a little while," the greenrider promised after a blushing smile at the compliment, then she was off to the Dining Caverns, Intrigue in tow. Stepping within, she headed for her wing's table to find a place to settle until everything got under weigh. ------------------------ Kikikaa finished the last of several smaller braids in the length of her long black hair, complete with little ribbons along one strand of each. She did not fancy up often, but when she felt the need to do so, she went with it. Tying off the plait, she flipped it back with the others dotting her thigh-length hair then slipped into a simple, floor-length gown that mimicked the rare blue roan color of runners, trimmed in silver. She did not wear it often, but it was comfortable none the less with it's v-neck and long sleeves to allow her firelizards to have their perches. "See ya' later, Peronith!" she told her sleepy green as she headed out, bronze and green firelizards in her wake.
Stepping into the Dining Cavern, she looked about for no one in particular, though the man she had wound up with during Chandrath's flight was foremost on her mind.... ------------------------------------------ K'mik had gotten ready in the usual quick fashion that he was so good at. After making sure that his canine was comfortable and assuring Haydeth that nothing was going to happen to him at dinner, he left quickly, mind drifting to the possibilities of dances after they had all eaten. Dressed in simple black wherhide pants and a dark blue tunic with lighter blue trim, he stepped within the Cavern and took everything in before proceeding to his wing's table. This was sure to be an entertaining evening. --------------------------- K'kaar stepped into the Dining Cavern, whistling a ballad to himself. Wearing the bright greens that he had chosen, his pants only a shade darker, he stood out and that made all the difference as he gave everyone that looked his way a huge, friendly grin. Now to find someone in need of a smile.... ---------------------------------- M'cal sported a new, tan tunic with glass beadwork along the hems, just sent up from South Sand Hold, and a set of brown pants he had kept carefully stored for the last few turns, needing only a hem job to lengthen them. Though he had not been allowed to make the trip himself, another rider did so for him and he was very grateful, paying them the promised marks when they arrived with some newer clothing from home. His sister was going to love the dress their mother had sent along. There were more things for Kikaya than for M'cal, but he had specifically asked for more things for his sister as his possessions were of better condition. Spying his sister coming out of the girls' side of the Barracks, he grinned at her and closed the distance. "Got a surprise for ya'," he told her cheerily. She was most definitely going to like it, he knew. He offered the bundle to his sister for her to do the unwrapping of it. ----------------------------- Your boot's untied, Manwydath stated calmly with a tinge of sleepiness as his rider started out of the Barracks. C'nell stopped abruptly and looked down at his boots, finding that his dragonet was right and stooped to fix the problem quickly. That was all he needed: to trip over his own shoelace. "Thanks, Manwydath!" the Weyrling said cheerily as he trotted off. The critical eye would have noticed that his dark orange tunic hardly matched the dark blue of his pants, but he did not care, so it did not matter as he headed for the Dining Cavern, entering quietly and finding a seat at the Weyrlings table. ----------------------------- Kyler tucked her strawberry blonde hair back at the sides with a couple of small combs, completing her look that looked nothing like a young lady. She wore her usual dark gray canvas pants and a short white tunic under a faded green vest. Sandals instead of boots protected the bottoms of her feet and a simple leather necklace hung about her neck with a few shells strung on it. She was not out there to look pretty, just a little more formal than har normal everyday clothing. Casting one last glance at her lovely Nyxith, asleep after a good meal, the green Weyrling headed for the Dining Hall, giving a few folk a friendly smile as she made her way to a seat at the Weyrlings table, Sunil flitting along behind her quietly for once. --------------------- Sanrev was not usually up this early, but since the rescue mission, he had been keeping odd hours with his wounds being more of a bother than anything. Finding the lightest tunic he owned, he carefully put the old dark brown thing on and tied the front laces carefully. His wrist had been sprained and it took him just a bit longer to work his hand still. Complete with dark brown wherhide pants, the guardsman headed for the Dining Cavern slowly and carefully, each step measured softly to keep his ribs at ease. Sanresk was still sleeping and Neek followed his Pet to the Dining Cavern. Stepping inside, the Handler paused a moment to see what lay before him before heading to one of the tables toward the walls. Neek stood out enough for the both of them and he really did not want to be noticed much. After he had taken a seat carefully, feline green eyes scanned the area for the Healer Rider. She had been on his mind a lot the past day or so and he was beginning to think that it just might be time to move on again. It had been nearly five turns since his wife's death. Neek settled on the table top in front of his Pet, playing with the man's fingers gently.
Ransk didn't move from her warm spot by the bed. The red wher wasn't ready to get up yet. Besides, she wouldn't be going to the Feast. She would rather sleep for a bit longer.
Randy smiled fondly at her wher before turning to her mate. Her dark eyes lit up. "Well, don't you just look handsome tonight?" she said, walking over to him. She reached up to straighten out the collar of his shirt. "And yes, I am ready," she answered.
~~~~
Kikaya was glad that she didn't have to hunt for her brother. The girl on the verge of tears anyhow. She was hoping he would give her the okay to stay away from the Feast. The girl was surprised to see her brother in a new outfit. She didn't think she remembered ever seeing an outfit that nice when they were with K'ain. They hadn't had nice clothes then. The clothes she was wearing was proof of that. "What's this?" she asked softly, taking the bundle and wiping a sleeve over her eyes. The teen unwrapped the package. Her eyes widened in shock as she looked up at her brother. "But..." she fumbled at a loss for words as she pulled the gray dress out of the package. It looked like it should be about ankle length and had a slit in the side to make it easier for walking. She noticed there were little glass beads around the neckline almost like M'cal's shirt. She looked at her brother in shock. There were small designs woven into the fabric to make the dress look like it sparkled.

Cheriss was nervous again as she pulled on the loose red dress Eponath insisted the girl buy from a local weaver. Little by little the dark red dragon was forming a lady from the lump of a tomboy Cheriss had been since the day she was born. Under her long skirt this this time, the tomboy rider now was wearing a pair of soft slippers, a slightly darker shade than her dress. The dark silk of her slowly growing hair was tied back with a red ribbon, leaving a few tendrils to frame her grey eyes. Sending a wave of teasing love to her lady-like red, Cheriss waited once more in the common room for her twin. D'mar wasn't long in appearing, haven taken time before hand to settle his outfit. A dark green shirt hid his torso, and black leather pants encased his now toned legs. A rather fitting outfit, especially one to hide various scratches and bruises gathered from his rather curious baby green. A soft half smile graced his face as he took in the view of his baby sister, "Chercher, if Dad could see you now, I think he would faint! You look amazing, little sister. I'll have to beat the guys off with a stick sone won't I?" He teased, not realizing his tomboy sister wouldn't mind a few of them talking to her. The light blush on her cheeks told D'mar that his sister was hiding something from him, but he wasn't going to push it. The green rider had secrets of his own. His smile warming a bit more he held his hand out for the lady in red, "Come sister. It's time to party!" A soft giggle came filled the air as the grey eyed twins left the common room. At the door way to the festival, D'mar bowed slightly at his sister before winking at her, "Well, Cheriss, here I leave you. I think you'll do just fine this time right? No food fights?" He teased again, earning a slap to his green clad arm. "Oh hush!" Cheriss played back. "You deserved that food fight and you know it. And I make no promises, D'mar. If I think the party gets too dull, I just might do something silly!"

Toniel tried to convince herself that she felt no different than she had the day before. But something within her had changed, subtly, but with her any change was minuscule, but noticeable. Something about her felt lighter and as she dressed and worried at her hair, a soft smile gently curved the corners of her lips. She would never be the smiley, happy woman that some people wanted her to be, but still she was smiling a bit. It wasn't just that there was finally another Weyrleader in place. No, in fact that was the last thing on her mind, even in this celebration was in honor of that event. A gentle knock at her door caused her to turn her head, disturbing Leifa from her perch. The red gave a startled chirp and rose to her feet, clutching at Toniel's shoulder. The Weyrwoman's Second, clad in a long-sleeved black gown with a gold-trimmed green overcoat, crossed to the door, curled tresses bobbing with her movements. Her dark brown hair was pinned up at her crown, so that the tight curls cascaded down the back, with two loose curls framing either side of her face. She opened the door, her face again spreading into a soft smile as she caught sight of Q'del. The tunic he wore was stunning, the bronze accents glinting in the glowlight. "Good evening, Q'del," she said, her whispery voice containing an extra bit of breathiness. "That is a nice tunic," she complimented.
(I'll add my other three later.)

V'zee smiled, a touch of a blush on his cheeks at the compliment. He did not receive those sorts of compliments very much, but he played her game right back, deep icy eyes merry. "Ya' look beautiful yerself," he told her truthfully. No matter what she wore, she was always beautiful to him. "Shall we, milady?" he asked, offering her his good arm to usher her to the Dining Caverns.
Vikki nuzzled the red hide beneath him before he took flight after his Pet. He was not going to miss a thing, as usual. The little blue was going to make certain of that. Besides, his Pet was thinking of food...
-----------------
M'cal did not miss the tears in his sister's eyes as she stepped up to him, but he loved the change as soon as she pulled the dress out of its wrapping. "It's sent from home," he told her with a fond smile. "Did ma pick the colors right for ya'?" he asked calmly, though inside he was bursting with joy. A smile like that had not graced Kikaya's face in a long time.

Randy flushed, but smiled happily. It was natural of V'zee to tell her that and he did quite often even if she looked her worst. She carefully slipped her arm through his. "Yes, let's go," she smiled. "I'm getting hungry." She hoped they may even get a dance or two in depending how they were both feeling.
Ransk snorted softly when Vikki nuzzled her. The wher refused to open her eyes though. She wanted to sleep not pay attention to what was going on.
~~~
Kikaya hugged her brother tightly. "Ma sent it?" she asked softly, looking at the elegant dress again. She hadn't worn a dress since they had been at the Hold with their family. "It's perfect, but do you think I'll look alright?" she asked softly, holding the dress up to herself, not quite sure.
~~~
S'tex and Calyssa parted ways at the Cavern. S'tex went to see who he could find to talk to while Calyssa looked around for J'sen. Storm chittered softly.
"I don't know where they're at, Storm. I'm sure they'll be here soon," Calyssa said.
S'tex caught sight of Cheriss and headed that way. "Hi," he said cheerily to his friend.
Katleya smiled when she saw D'mar walk in. And in her opinion he looked extremely handsome in his dark green shirt. She wondered if he matched his dragon's hide. The young blue rider got up and made her way over to him. "Hey, handsome," she smiled when she got within hearing range.
El'dan watched everyone start to come in. He sighed softly, keeping a hand pressed lightly against his side. If he could manage it he wasn't going to stay long. He really wasn't feeling well and he would rather be resting at the moment. Although he wouldn't mind meeting a few of the riders of Nova.

F'har carefully selected a dark navy tunic, over which he layered a black vest. The look was maybe a bit droll, but it was striking against his tanned skin. He still felt a little shaky from the previous day, when the Weyrwoman's queen had stirred up some feelings that he had never felt before. And it seemed to have set off something within him, as those feelings came back in waves at the most inopportune times. It made socializing with his fellow weyrlings awkward and almost unbearable, but he was determined to attend this feast. With a deep breath, he left his quarters, making sure that his young green was sleeping soundly. Upon sight of his brother and their young harper friend, he crossed quickly to them, fingers curling into fists and uncurling nervously. "Hey," he greeted quietly, his smile a bit shaky.
Lyrensa stepped into the Dining Cavern in a lovely lavender gown, the darker bodice layered over a clean white shirt. She left her hair loose to flow in gentle waves over her shoulders, though in hindsight, she wished she had tried to tame some of the errant strands that insisted upon curling in awkwardly kinked spirals amidst the roiling waves. Her pregnancy was not far enough advanced for her to be showing, though she had already began to pack on a few pounds. She greeted the Weyrwoman and the new Weyrleader, allowing her eye to linger on the bronzerider perhaps a moment longer than necessary before moving on. She did not see C'olt or Kia, nor did she see Weyrhealer Tess, so she seated herself at a table towards the middle of the area so that she might be surrounded by the happenings of the feast. Hopefully it wasn't as eventful as the last one.
Raziela had not weathered the move well. She was surlier than ever, which one should have expected after she had caught sight of the slice that ran from the inner corner of her left brow, along her nose, ending just below her left nostril. She had not been a good patient at all, screaming about her ruined looks just like the vain woman she was. She had thieved a very brilliant purple shirt for her wardrobe, which she had chosen to wear tonight over a pair of old, slightly faded black breeches. Her boots were likewise faded and cracked, every bit evidence of her hard times in the frozen climate of the far south. The bluerider was far from courteous as she blustered through the entrance of the Dining Cavern, setting her icy gaze on the heavily-laden plates of food. Despite nearly a sevenday spent at Nova Weyr, the sight of such well-cooked food was mouth-watering and it took her only a moment before she strode over and began to pick the best morsels for herself.

V'zee smiled to his mate and ushered her out the door to the Dining Caverns. Food sounded very good at the moment. Once there, he gave his respects to the Weyrwoman and the new Weyrleader, then found a table with two open seats, letting go of Randael's arm to offer her a seat before he sat down himself, part of that Holdbred lad of old still showing through the roughness of a dragonrider.
---------------
M'cal nodded his head in confirmation. "Yup. I managed ta get someone ta send a message for me an' ev'ryone pitched in to send us some new clothes that we're both in need of." The bluerider chuckled as he toyed with his sister briefly while studying the dress against her thin frame. "You'll look wonderful, Kika. Go put it on. I'll wait for ya'," he told her with a smile full of brotherly love.

Randy walked next to V'zee. Food was definitely sounding appealing. She felt very hungry for some reason that day. Maybe because everything had been so crazy lately. She curtsied slightly when they stopped in front of Cybele and T'tarel. The young Weyrleader looked a bit nervous to Randy, but she couldn't blame him. It was a big step. She followed V'zee to the table and slid into a seat.
~~~
Kikaya smiled at her brother, tears still in her eyes. "It's been so long since we've actually had anything nice to wear," she whispered. The girl dashed back into the barracks to change clothes. She returned a few minutes later, feeling a little uncomfortable. "It is too much?" she asked, twirling in the dress.
M'cal only moved a little closer to the Barracks while he waited for his sister to return. He would do anything to see her smile and be happy again. If he could, he would take her home to see their folks and their older sister. He smiled when the young grayrider returned and twirled around. "It's perfect, Kika," he said matter-of-factly. "Not too much at all. It's just right!" he added with a nod. After studying his sister one more time, he grinned and offered his arm in a gentlemanly fashion. "Shall we go eat, sis?" he asked with an underlying teasing tone.
Kikaya still felt a little out of place in the beautiful dress. Last time she had had anything this nice she had only been eleven. And she noticed this time when she slipped into the dress that she could actually fill the dress out perfectly. That kind of scared her a little. She had to keep telling herself that she wasn't with K'ain anymore and no one would try to hurt her. She smiled up at her brother. She knew he wouldn't lie to her. She nodded. "I am hungry," she smiled, slipping her arm through his. She was really starting to miss her parents and sister.
G'rett arrived in the best finery he could manage to wear in spite of his injuries. Still, he had gotten his rank back, and he proudly affixed the knots to his shoulder as he made his way towards the Dining Cavern. He had to remember to pay his respects to T'tarel, the new Weyrleader, and to Cybele when he arrived. On that same list was Q'del and Arktos, which also meant Toniel and Kiyoni by proxy would be thanked. But none of them was whom he wanted to sit next to - no, he wanted to be with his love, Quindara. She had risked her life in trying to reach him, and managed to get him out of that Flight involving Kanly. He did still feel a bit guilty over it, but Cybele had allowed him and Quindara to be together during Chandrath's Flight.
G'rett also had to remember not to get pulled into another drunken brawl like the last time...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
B'ren took his time in getting ready for the feast, and when he caught sight of Tanly he gave her an infectious grin and kissed her on the cheek. "You look lovely, my dear," he commented her. The Brown Rider had chosen to wear a cream-colored long-sleeved tunic, a brown tailored vest and belt, and black breeches and boots for the occasion. Offering his arm, B'ren looked at his weyrmate. "Shall we?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
J'sen made his way out of the Weyrling Barracks and towards the Dining Cavern, this time dressed in a nearly all-black attire save for a vest trimmed with vibrant bronze and copper threading. Misty was perched on her pet's shoulder, and she trilled a question when they drew closer to the cavern. "I don't know, Misty," he said. "I'm sure Calyssa's here somewhere, and I plan on sitting next to her at the feast. Hopefully, we won't have any problems like we did the last time." It wasn't too much longer until the young man and his gold firelizard finally made their entrance, J'sen making sure to pay his respects to the Leadership already present before finding his seat. "Sorry to keep you waiting, Calyssa," he apologized, blushing slightly as he sat across from her. He fondly recalled what had transpired between them during the Gold Flight, and now he was doubly determined to stay at her side.
C'pher wasn't long in making his appearance, dressed in a royal blue swordsman's shirt, a vest in a shade of a lighter blue, and his black breeches and boots. He owed one woman in particular for helping him find love again, and he'd be betweened to not sit at her side during the feast. When he finally caught sight of Kikikaa and her two firelizards, he blushed but made his way over to her side, kissing her gently on the cheek. "I know I shouldn't have kept you," he whispered into her ear, "and I apologize for doing so." He offered her his arm, then with his other he gestured towards one of the tables. "May I escort you to your seat?"
C'olt finished running a towel through his hair as he made his way back to his weyr. The last Flight had been rather interesting, and mostly everything was now a blur. Still, he wanted to be seated near Kia and Lyrensa at the feast. It wouldn't be too much longer, he supposed, until he had to attend the birth of his children. Part of him hoped at least one would be a boy, but truthfully he didn't care if both babies wound up being girls. He had to smile warmly at the thought. Sure, he'd have his hands full with two daughters. But they would be as beautiful as their mothers, if not more so. And C'olt would be highly protective of them. Dressing in a vibrant green tunic that exposed his throat, and slipping into a pair of black breeches, the Healer tugged his boots over his feet before making his way to the Dining Cavern. C'olt didn't bother tying back his honey-blonde hair, letting it fall to his shoulders freely, but he'd wait for Kia to arrive before escorting her to her seat.
Tanly smiled when B'ren finally appeared. She took in his appearance with a whistle. He looked good. There was no question there. "You look very handsome yourself," she grinned. The green rider nodded and carefully slipped her arm through his. "Yes, let's. I'd like to pay my respects to the new Weyrleader."
Storm's head shot up as soon as he caught sight of Misty. The bronze chittered excitedly, causing Calyssa to look up. The red rider smiled, although her cheeks colored. She couldn't help thinking about what had happened between them. Not that she regretted it at all. "It's okay," she assured him. "You're here now." And that's all she cared about. "And you look quite handsome tonight," she smiled.
