Randy's wince was noticed but not commented upon. V'zee knew that she would get better. He would continue to worry though, until then. Ranvik had not been the result of flightlust. He had been a merry blessing to the bronzerider.
V'zee chuckled at his son's words. "We'll give 'em ta mum after we git a bag full," he told the toddler, carefully setting him beside him on the couch, then proceeding to get up to find the old mesh sack he usually put Vikki's catches into.
Vikki noted the red wher's nosing about nearby and could not hold back a twitch of his bright colored tail. His Pet was mentioning crawlies. He loved crawlie hunting.

Randy closed her eyes briefly as a headache started to pound between her temples. She hated headaches. And combined with dizzy spells that was ten times worse. The young woman sighed softly as she listened to her family.
"I heard that," she said quietly. She would have to keep an eye open for the crawlies. They definitely weren't her favorite thing and for some reason V'zee and Ranvik got a kick out seeing her face when she encountered one.
Ransk's head shot up when she caught the slight movement from Vikki. That was all she had needed. See you! the red said happily, moving over to nuzzle the little blue. Good spot.

V'zee chuckled. "Mum's got ears like a feline," he said conspiratorially to his son, casting a playful grin at his weyrmate, mischief in his dark blue eyes. "C'mon, git some shoes on," he said, moving toward the cache of shoes, not that there were many there.
Vikki squealed as he suddenly cleaned the shelf off at Ransk's words, bright colored legs scattering on the wood for traction, wings flared for balance. Ransk always find Vikki! he chittered playfully at the wher, then leapt from the shelf to the red's head knobs again. Vikki's Pet and Little hunt crawlies! Ransk and Vikki hunt, too?! the blue asked merrily of the wher.

Randy smiled as she opened her eyes half way. "Have to with you two around," she said affectionately. Actually, she would rather be going with them then feeling so sick to her stomach that she couldn't move.
"Mum no fe...feline," Ranvik giggled. The boy nodded. "Shoes!" he said happily. He was ready to go hunt down some crawlies. And bring them back to Randy.
Ransk watched as Vikki flittered out of his hiding spot. The wher lifted her eyes as the blue once again too a perch on her head. She looked at Randy. Randy?
"Go," she said quietly.
I go hunt! the red said happily. She liked that game too.

V'zee smiled. "We won't be far, Love," he promised her before turning to help his son get into his shoes. "Mum ain't a feline. She hears as good as one," he explained before saying, "'Old still, now," as he tried to put a sandal on the lad's foot.
Vikki trilled merrily. He always loved hunting! He took wing again and flew circles about his Pet and the Little, whistling excitedly at the task ahead already certain he would catch something.

Randy smiled. "Enjoy yourselves," she said, curling her legs up beside her. Her head was starting to hurt and as much as she wanted to be with her son and mate the idea of moving didn't sound appealing. She closed her eyes, hoping the headaches wouldn't last much longer. She chuckled softly as she listened to V'zee trying to explain to Ranvik.
"Hear ike one?" the boy repeated, putting hjs head to the side. The idea still sounded funny to him. Ranvik giggled, but held still long enough to get his shoes on.
Ransk stood beside them, ready to go. Randy had given her the go head, so the red was looking forward to it. It was fun chasing crawlies. Although she didn't do it all the time.

"We will!" V'zee replied assuringly as he stepped over to the Handler and gave her a quick gentle kiss before grabbing his son's hand to guide him out into the corridor. He chuckled to Ranvik's inquiry and nodded. "Yeah, 'ey hear really good. Mum hears real good," he answered as they stepped out of the weyr.
Vikki trilled happily and shot out the door to get ahead of his Pet, fluttering a ways ahead, deeper into the stone where the coolness grew damp from lack of light.
V'zee smiled at his bright firelizard and shook his head, glancing back to see if Ransk was coming along as well. They were not going to be too long. Bed time was approaching soon...

Randy smiled. "I better not find one in my shoe," she warned teasingly. The young woman smiled up at her mate, her eyes looking a bit hazy from her headache. She snuggled back on the couch as she watched her small disappear.
"Mum ear ood," Ranvik grinned as he took his father's hand. The boy toddled along beside him.
Ransk sniffed at the ground as she followed V'zee and Ranvik. She could tell that her handler was getting tired, so she would keep a close eye on her.

It had not been more than a candlemark before the little group returned, V'zee carrying a wiggling, laden sack with their findings and boy and father both wearing matching grins. Even Vikki flitted about with a rather smug expression on his bright little face. The bronzerider was quite certain that he had tuckered out his son as the boy was currently in his good arm, the sack held carefully in his other hand. He would be sore later, but bed sounded really good after their little hunt.
Stepping back into their weyr, the dark haired rider stepped over to the couch that Randael still lay on and smiled as he set Ranvik down. "Shh....Mum looks to be sleepin'," he told the lad as Vikki trilled softly in greeting to the Handler, helping Ransk through the door cheerily.

Ranvik was cuddled happily in his father's arms, grinning from ear to ear. He was tired, but he loved catching the crawlies and V'zee had made it extra fun for him.
Ransk padded into the weyr and walked over to curl up beside the couch. She crooned softly to her handler, laying her head on the couch beside Randy.
Randy opened her eyes half way. "I'm awake," she said softly, her green eyes looking a little hazy from the headache that she still had. "Did you guys have fun?" she asked, slowly sitting up.

V'zee smiled, making sure that the sack was well secured to keep its wiggly contents confined. "We had lotsa fun, didn't we, buddy?" he inquired of his son, setting the sack off to the side so that it would be out of their way. He watched with that hidden concern in his dark icy eyes as his mate sat up, taking it slowly. That was a very good thing. Slowly led to less temporary and sometimes long term problems.
Vikki trilled softly and landed atop Ransk's hide with a croon, padding himself a little circle before laying down, wrapping his tail about himself and tucking his head under a wing with a sleepy cheep at the wher to stay still.

"Ots fun!" Ranvik said happily around a big yawn. The boy had worn himself out on their hunt. He smiled up at his parents though, his eyes dancing.
Randy smiled as she watched, rubbing her temples a bit. "That's good," she said softly, getting to her feet. She was a little unsteady, but she caught her balance quickly enough and walked over to V'zee. "I'm glad you two had fun. It looks like you wore Vikki out too."
Ransk looked over her shoulder at the little blue. She didn't mind the flit sleeping on her. Besides, she didn't have to go anywhere at the moment.

V'zee grinned and gave his mate a kiss. "Lemme take Ranvik ta the creche fer the night, 'en we'll git some much needed sleep," he told her, a smile still gracing his expression. That and he wanted to talk a bit about the results of that fiasco beginning with Wingleader G'rett. Looking at his busy-body of a firelizard, he smiled fondly at the creature. "We had 'im chasin' 'em all over the place."
Vikki's head popped up from his place on the wher before he chittered merrily at them, explaining his side of the story...

Randy smiled, her eyes a little hazy. "Alright," she said. They didn't take Ranvik to the creche too often, but it sounded like a good idea for the night. Besides, that would give her a bit of time with her mate. She really hadn't gotten a chance to talk him much since everything had happened. She chuckled softly as she listened to Vikki. "I think he's giving a different story."
Ransk rolled her eyes with a snort. The wher liked crawlie hunting and watching Vikki was entertaining.

V'zee grinned as he gathered up a few of Ranvik's things that made his stays in the creche so much easier for everyone involved. The lad sure was not attached to his parents like hold children were, but he definitely knew who his parents were which was one thing the Holdbred bronzerider was extremely glad for. "Vikki always has another side of the tale, don'cha bud?" he said as he looked at the light blue firelizard atop Ransk.
Vikki sat up with a merry trill of agreement, sending images to everyone in the room happily. He loved being the center of attention.
V'zee shook his head and stepped over to his son. "Ya' ready fer bed, Ranvik?" he asked with a smile.
