Tanly hadn't been real thrilled about betting her clothes, but the one advantage was she was in her weyr and could grab clothes if need be. Although she was kind of partial to her cuts off and tank top for swimming. Not to mention her boots she would need. She sighed. Somehow she'd have to win them back if she lost. She sipped on her wine as she watched his flip his cards.
The green rider kept a straight face as she realized she was beat. The best she had was two pairs and that couldn't compete. "It's only the first hand," she said nonchalantly as she flipped over her cards, knowing she had lost. "And who said I was going to bet any more clothing than what I already have?" she asked, thankful for her long hair that helped cover most of her. Not that she was the skittish type, but she wasn't ready to give B'ren a show yet.

B'ren separated the marks from the clothing before dumping the boots and clothes onto the floor. He knew he would either have to raise the stakes even higher on the next hand, or appeal to Tanly's sense of pride and try to dare her to drink him under the table. But first, it was his turn to deal the cards. Shuffling the deck a few times, B'ren dealt the cards: The first three face down, the next five face up, and the last card face down.
He slid a hundred fifty marks into the middle, then looked at his cards. A four, a six, a unicorn, an eight, and a three. His hole cards weren't looking too good, either. He pondered about folding his hand and conceding this round to Tanly.

Tanly watched without emotion as B'ren dumped their clothes on the floor. Somehow or other she was going to have to win her clothes back. Or else find some other way to con him into giving them back. She'd have to think on that for a bit. The green rider sat quietly and waited for him deal.
She slid her bet into the middle as he flipped the cards. She had a two, three, seven, unicorn, and a dragon. This hand wasn't looking good either. Tanly peeked at her hole cards, making sure to keep a straight face.

B'ren took another sip of his wine, then made a face when he saw Tanly's face-up cards. It was likely she had another face card or two in her hand, which meant hers would trump his. Never a good thing when your opponent has two face cards on the table, and a smart gambler knew when to cut his losses. Although the wine was starting to get to his head...
The Brown Rider made a face and flipped his hole cards over, then flipped them all down, indicating he folded. "I guessh the round goesh to you, schweetheart," B'ren said, his speech starting to become a bit slurred. "Your deal."

Tanly watched B'ren closely as she sipped on her wine, not realizing she had just about finished her second glass. That probably wasn't going to be good. Oh well, she'd deal with the after effects later. She silently smirked to herself, knowing for once she may have actually gotten a good hand. She just wondered if B'ren would call or fold.
"Ah, surrender already, B'ren?" she teased, her voice still steady since she hadn't had as much wine as him yet. Tanly gathered up the cards and reshuffled them, soon redealing the cards out.

B'ren caught the smirk on Tanly's face in spite of his buzzed state, but took notice she had just finished her second glass. His hand was shaking somewhat, but still managed to pour some more wine into her goblet without spilling any of the alcohol. He was determined to win either way.
"I only shurrender when I can't get ahead," B'ren replied. "But I'll won't back down." He looked at his hole cards, then at the cards that were face-up on the table. It took him slightly longer than usual to realize it was yet another losing hand, but he flipped over his hole cards then turned all nine cards in his hand face-down, indicating he folded again. But he still had plenty of marks, and slid another stack into the middle.

Tanly studied her new cards, debating on what she wanted to do. She absently picked up her newly filled wine glass and drank almost the whole glass down. It wouldn't be long before that hit her wrong. Although her vision was already blurring just a bit as she studied her cards.
She looked up to see that B'ren had folded again. "Surrender again?" she asked with a wicked grin, her words coming slow so she didn't slur them. Although truth be told, her hand hadn't been real great. Tanly pushed her marks into the middle as well, ready for another hand.

It seemed like he was looking at the scene through a haze, but as he dealt the cards he noticed Tanly had drank her third glass. Grinning, he poured her another then set the bottle down as carefully as he could before looking at his cards. Three dragons and two unicorns were face up. Looking at his hole cards, B'ren smirked as he pushed three stacks of marks into the middle. "Three hun'red," he said. "Shay, if you wan', drink that las' glassh an' letsh shettle thish by goin' all in. Beshidesh, I already bet my clothesh, an' you shtill have shome on you." Backing up his drunken speech with action, the Brown Rider pushed all of his marks into the middle.

Tanly definitely wasn't thinking the clearest anymore. The three glasses of wine on an empty stomach had been a bad idea on her part. One that she might come to regret later. She looked at her cards through squinted eyes, deciding if she had a good hand or not. She had two pair showing and a dragon. And her hole cards weren't too bad in her opinion.
She looked up at his words, debating. She could fold, but she really didn't want too. She thought she might still be okay with her hand. The dainty green rider finished her glass without thinking and set it back on the table, her hand a little shaky. "If that's how you wants it," she said, her words not coming out as clear any more. Tanly pushed the remainder of her marks into the middle before adding the rest of her clothes, although her hair still kept her pretty well covered from his view.

B'ren watched as Tanly removed her undergarments and added them to the pile of marks in front of them. He had a pretty good idea of what was hidden under her long hair, but he could wait. But, just to be sure...he refilled her goblet then set it down. "I call," the Brown Rider said drunkenly. He knew he had her beat this time around, and there wasn't anything Tanly could do to win her stuff back.
Though in the back of his mind, both of them were going to have a pretty rough hangover in the morning...

Tanly absently picked up her goblet and swirled the wine around before drinking half the glass. She knew she was going to have a major headache in the morning if she even managed to remember everything that had happened this night. "Fine," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. The green rider flipped her cards over. Her best bet was two pair and that was all she had been able to do.
She looked up at B'ren, trying to keep from seeing double. She folded her arms over her chest as she waited for him to flip his, not knowing what she was in for.

B'ren could only watch as Tanly crossed her arms over her chest as she revealed her hand - two pair - then he flipped over one hole card.
A dragon.
With four dragons and two unicorns, that gave him a "Full Dragon", which easily trumped the Green Rider's hand. B'ren reached for the marks, then picked up Tanly's undergarments and dangled them in front of her before tossing them to the floor on top of the other clothes. "'fraid you losht your marksh an' your clothesh, schweetheart," he said, grinning. He slid the marks over to his side of the table, then rose to his feet, his naked flesh exposed to the air, and he poured the rest of the wine into Tanly's goblet. Setting the now-empty bottle down, he hiccuped then blushed slightly. "I've never danshed with you, Tanly. Would you care to danshe?"

Tanly's face flushed when he flipped over his last card. She sighed softly. So much for being able to prove she could hold her own in Dragon Poker. Of course, you win some and you lose some.
The green rider watched quietly as he gathered up the marks and her clothes. She rolled her eyes. That would teach her to bet her clothing. It was a good thing those weren't the only clothes she had or she'd be in trouble. Tanly picked up her goblet and finished the rest of the wine. She was too far gone to care that she'd be feeling it in the morning. "I'll win them...back," she said slowly. Tany raised a delicate brow as he stood up. Shards, he was good looking. "Which kinda dance you got in mind?" she asked, trying to keep her words from slurring together in the process.

B'ren helped Tanly up to her feet, then brushed her hair back so he could take a good look at her. By the Egg, she looked fantastic. Slipping her hands around his neck and his own around her hips, and pulling her close to him, B'ren led her through a slow dance, looking into her eyes. "Hash an'one told you how good lookin' you are?" His speech was slurred as was his gait a bit unsteady from the amount of alcohol he consumed, but he couldn't resist turning on the charm when it came to the pretty Green Rider. He wanted her so badly right at this moment he did everything he could to get her into bed with him, and it wasn't long before he forgot whose weyr he was in. All that mattered to him was Tanly at the moment, but the scoundrel was content to let her have her way with him. "Why don' you show me whatchyou got," he teased. "Letsh shee how good you are un'er the fursh."

Tanly didn't object to him pulling her to her feet. She felt her face flush when he brushed her hair behind her shoulders, taking her last barrier away. She looked into his eyes, wondering what he thought. Her stormy eyes were a bit hazy as she tried to clear her vision. She giggled softly as he pulled her close. She gladly slipped her arms around his neck, but shivered a little as his hands touched her hips. If she wasn't drunk she might object to what was going on. But then again, maybe not. She liked B'ren and thought he was very good looking. "I'm not," she whispered, playing with his hair. The green rider's gait wasn't much steadier then B'ren's but somehow they managed not to fall. She looked into his eyes and laughed softly. "Challenge...accepted," she whispered, slowly backing toward her bed room, not really thinking about what she was doing.
