age: 20
About the character:
name: Ferahar
pronunciation: (Fayr-uh-harr)
age: 14
rank: Candidate
gender: male
orientation: bisexual, usually choosing females
Family (name, age, rank, location, at least)
mother: Kechara, rider of green Judeth, deceased
father: Wingsecond F'von, rider of brown Slivoth, 35, Nova Weyr
sibling: Terahar, 14, Candidate, sick with Cloudlung, Nova Weyr; Keravon, 14, Candidate, Nova Weyr (triplets)
weyrmate/lover: none
children: none
other: none
physical description: Ferahar is Keravon and Terahar's identical triplet with only slight differences. Ferahar is just a tiny bit shorter than Keravon and shorter still than Terahar, but it’s not noticeable, still obtaining a mature height of barely under five foot ten. He also has black, curly hair, but he keeps his long and swept back into a low runnertail. He has a naturally fair complexion that is slightly rosier than his brothers'. Ferahar, Terahar and Keravon share the same copper-brown eyes. Where Keravon is lean and gangly, Terahar stick-thin and frail-looking (even before catching Cloudlung), Ferahar seems to stand up well to his height and is sturdier. The freckles and facial features that give Keravon his boyish charm and Terahar his bookish appearance are also present on Ferahar, but his face appears dignified, though still young. Ferahar wears a leather strap around his left wrist decorated with a bland-looking stone, but no other jewelry. He tends to be rather obsessed with his appearance and fusses over his clothes like a woman. Even his everyday clothes are carefully selected.
personality: Ferahar at first glance appears to be this dignified, mature young man who is wise beyond his Turns. In reality, Ferahar is just as rambunctious as Keravon. Because the two are so close to each other, they often paired up to do pranks, but Terahar is usually too worried about being caught to participate. Ferahar tended to plan most of the jokes with Keravon tweaking the little details so it would be even funnier. However, Ferahar knows when to stop being a prankster, which is probably the biggest difference between the two brothers. That is why Ferahar is seen as more mature, while Keravon is still the young man who loves to get into trouble. Ferahar is confident in himself, sometimes bordering on arrogance. He is generally good with women, but not overly so. Ferahar is pretty easygoing and doesn’t get angry very easily. He is easily annoyed, but things hardly ever escalate to anger. He is sometimes obsessive over minor things, which is why he gets annoyed easily. He is very neat and organized and hates having things out of place. So yes, he is obsessive compulsive.
history: While Keravon is the mischevious one, and Terahar the cowardly one, Ferahar is the more mature triplet. He is the firstborn, then Keravon was born, then Terahar. He and his brothers were always very close, and Ferahar tended to be protective of his two younger brothers, though they weren’t that much younger. Ferahar was always very intelligent and paid attention in lessons, but when it came to assignments or chores, he was very lazy. He liked to be social, usually out with friends or his brothers, gallivanting around the Weyr. Ferahar tended to argue with Keravon because he felt that he and Terahar should listen to him since he was older.
He had always wanted to Impress, but it wasn’t such a dream as it was for Keravon and Terahar. It was something he took lightly until he Stood at 10 Turns when there were few other Candidates to be found and failed to Impress his first time around. It discouraged him at first and he wondered why none of the dragons had thought he was worthy enough to bond to. But then he became even more determined and began to pay even closer attention to lessons and applied himself more.
The following spring, Keravon led the triplets on an adventure that led them to find a queen firelizard clutch. Keravon Impressed a brown, blue and a green, and Terahar Impressed the little golden queen and a tiny, undersized bronze. Seeing his brothers Impress their firelizards reawakened his dream of Impressing a dragon and he watched the Hatchings longingly. Four turns later and they have been okayed to try again. But this time, there is a good chance that all three boys will not make it to the Sands. Terahar has recently contracted the disease that killed their mother only six months ago. The loss has not really affected them because they were raised in the creche with very little contact with the greenrider. But if they were to lose their brother....that would be a loss almost too difficult to bounce back from.
If dragonrider:
dragon name: Irisith
dragon age: 1 month
dragon size: 21 feet
physical description: 99FF99 - At the moment her very colorful egg cracks, Iristh will be the center of attention, because she is a very striking dragon. Small and delicate, her full length will only be 21 feet, though she is blessed with disproportionally large wings. She is banded softly with every color of green you could imagine, from grass green and aqua on her legs, spring green and lime on her body and dark hunter green on her wingtips. It seems like it ought to clash, but it just flows together beautifully. On top of that she has swirls and wisps of other shades of green all over.
personality: Soft-spoken and happy as a ray of sunshine, Iristh will be the dragon beloved by all. She’ll be the one who never seems to let anything bother her, who finds the silver lining in every cloud. She might not be as intelligent as some others and she’s a horrible gossip, but there’s no malice in her. She only gossips because she likes to talk. And talk, and talk and talk. Her lifemate will never get any quiet while she’s awake. But she’s so sweet and kind, so happy and graceful, that even the hardest heart will have trouble staying mad at her for long.
She won’t hold grudges, and will be unfailingly nice to everyone she meets, to the point of being sort of a doormat...a pretty doormat. She’s dreamy and forgetful, and not too fond of work..or dirtiness of any kind. Her lifemate will be hard-pressed to get her to see drills as a good plan. But once she’s seen Thread, her natural instincts will win through and she’ll be an agile, if cautious addition to any wing. Caution and timidity will be a hallmark of her personality, but not a crippling one. Flying for the sake of flying will be one of her favorite occupations. As for love, Iristh loves love, and being in it. But she doesn’t really see the point of only sticking to one male, when there are so many pretty ones around.
