"Let's just say that your skin seems to have a healthy glow to it," B'ren winked at Tanly as they continued their progress down the corridor. "And you already know just how...creative...I am under the furs. I suppose I could come up with something new, just to keep the streak going. But yes, I think you look beautiful, even if you don't think the same of yourself. I do get to make my opinion heard as well." He let his eyes trace the curves of Tanly's outline - while she may think of them as unwanted and excessive, that wouldn't keep B'ren from doing his best to make her feel wanted in his eyes. And oh, how he wanted to have his way with her again, to set her body on-edge and draw out her own need for him, letting their bodies intertwine once more and bring it to a fevered crescendo before lying together in each others' arms.
Had someone asked him a long time ago if he would ever settle down with just one woman, and if he'd stay if she bore a child to him, B'ren would have laughed and shook his head in amazement. He wasn't the type to be held down. But Tanly was different. B'ren had fallen head-over-heels for the red-haired woman, and was practically obsessed with her from the beginning. The Brown Rider put it down as a lesson in maturity, but there was still part of him willing to stake everything on a single turn of the card to keep someone like Tanly in his life on a permanent basis. It was a pity they couldn't be married, but ever since they chose to become weyrmates B'ren was both glad yet intrigued the Green Rider would take a chance on him. Just how far he could extend the winning streak, he had no clue. Now that he was going to be a father, how could he not press his luck?
"More children?" she had asked him, somewhat surprised. B'ren shrugged, then gently rubbed her belly. "Like I said. We'll talk about it later."
