The Weyrwoman's Second's face was stoic, but without its usual hardness. She appeared every bit a goldrider, but certainly polite to the Lord Holder. He was, after all, the equivalent of her superior. And any bad relations between Hold and Weyr would be catastrophic, so she had absolutely no intention of being the one to ruin the good ties they had now. Q'del beside her was speaking and she turned her head to him for a moment, nodding and giving a faint smile. She couldn't help but think how well-matched they were. G'rett might have called her a prude, but the Weyrsecond understood that it was reserve, not prudishness that kept her from open affection. She felt soothed by Q'del's hand as he placed it over her own and turned her focus to Lord Hiltaris. She nodded to his own statements as well, agreeing. It was indeed a nice day, a glorious day for a wedding. But the way that he conveyed his son's business was unusual, as if the Lord Holder was on edge. Was that nothing more than fatherly jitters? She couldn't say. "I look forward to seeing the ceremony, Lord Hiltaris. I am sure it will be beautiful," she said, her voice whisper-soft as always, carrying a bit of a faraway tone to it.

Hiltaris smiled as the weyrwoman's second conveyed her interest in the wedding ceremony, and in normal curcumstance Hiltaris would have agreed himself, with all the agreements that his lady and the brides own mother had put into it, Hiltaris doubted it could have been anything else, if Ranelli hadn't disappeared. The thought of the current situation was enough to light the anger that he kept locked within, that a girl like Ranelli dear to embarass the Nova Holder's was bad enough, but to do in the manner that she had, was going to be hard to forgive, if it came to that. He doubted Tardol would give her a second chance, or at least he hoped not.
The holder tried to keep his upset off of his face, trying not the give the game away, but it was getting increasingly hard, how much longer could they keep this up? sooner or later, they were going to have to tell everyone.. maybe a dragonriders assistance would be more useful, if they felt like helping, after, a dragon could covered more ground.. and rumor had it that their eye site was inpecably good.
"I hope, Lady Toniel, that you are right, and the ceremony is indeed beautiful." He replied, being vage but friendly. His attention flickering briefly to one of his younger sons among the crowd, one of the many discrete search parties... this was not looking good.
