Kia got up feeling more then a bit moody. This pregnancy was not going well for her. She constantly felt mean or else weepy. She sighed and got dressed, pulling on a loose pair of pants and shirt. She refused to switch to a dress yet. She liked her pants and she would wear them until she couldn't any longer. The blue rider ran a brush through her hair and pulled it up before heading out. Her blue was still sleeping peacefully on his ledge.
Kia decided to pay a visit to her baby's father. If she had to be miserable then she was going to make sure he knew how miserable she was. Of course she wasn't normally like that, but she felt like being mean today. The teenager made her way to C'olt's weyr. She would start there and go to the infirmary if he wasn't at his weyr.

It didn't help that C'olt and Lyrensa both worked in the infirmary, especially now that Lyrensa was one of two women carrying his child. It wasn't like he had planned this; it was rather innocent enough, or so he argued, to keep Lyrensa out of that fight between G'rett and Q'del during the last Hatching feast. The brawl eventually turned into a food fight, and during the fracas C'olt convinced Kia to have Lyrensa come with them, so they could continue their own little private party. It turned out the three of them wound up in Kia's weyr, and none of them could quite fully explain how or why they woke up snuggled together under the furs without a stitch of clothing. The girls got dressed so Kia could take Lyrensa back to the Weyrling Barracks while C'olt returned to his own quarters. The relationship between the three of them was somewhat awkward, until both Kia and Lyrensa discovered they were with child.
It turned out that he - C'olt - was the father. He knew he'd have to own up to his actions, and wanted to be there for both ladies. Not just because they were now both pregnant by him, but because he truly loved them both. He'd always had an on-again-off-again relationship with Kia, now evolving into something more serious; Lyrensa seemingly held a secret crush on C'olt and that was now reciprocated openly. What didn't help was both ladies were starting to experience dramatic mood swings, something which C'olt put down as a part of pregnancy. Grouchy one moment, moody the next, followed by a need for intense intimacy a moment later. Poor C'olt didn't know what to expect from either Kia or Lyrensa, and wondered just how he would take it all in stride.
At the moment, the Healer was tending to a few patients whom recently suffered some minor injuries. Nothing too serious, thankfully; as he applied redwort to the various scrapes and cuts evident. Yet in the back of his mind, he couldn't help but wonder what sort of mood Kia and Lyrensa were in...

Lyrensa was doing a shift in the infirmary at that time and, unfortunately for her patients, she was not too chipper this day. While normally she did her best to patiently explain what kind of treatment would be necessary, taking the time to answer the sometimes foolish questions, today her short temper seemed to be a constantly burning coal, just waiting for the right breath of oxygen to erupt into a full flame. More than once she snapped at a patient who asked her the same question for what seemed like the tenth time that morning and even her fellow healers were getting the brunt of some very rambunctious hormones. Everyone was moving too slow or they were using too much redwort or they weren't keeping the people in the waiting area quiet enough.
With a soft bulge beginning to show beneath Lyrensa's healer garb, people were learning to stay out of the way of her often volatile nature. But it seemed that there was one person she could escape from, who ironically was the one who made her like this. And as she rounded a corner, she found Kia searching for something...or someone. The presence of the bluerider, who she occasionally viewed as a rival for C'olt's attention, was enough to set her off again. "Kia!" she growled. "What the shards are you doing here?"

Kia had given up on her idea of finding C'olt at his weyr and headed for the infirmary. Of course she hadn't thought about who she could possibly bump into there. She was only thinking about one thing...getting her hands on C'olt and making him suffer like she was. She knew she wasn't normally like this and she hated that she was, but there wasn't much she could do about it right now.
The blue rider turned the corner to head for the infirmary when she nearly ran smack into Lyrensa. Kia quickly stepped back. With the mood she was in running into the gray weyrling was not a good thing. She narrowed her eyes. "It's really none of your busy, but I was looking for C'olt," she snapped before she could bite her tongue.

The moment he overheard two very familiar voices, C'olt winced. "Kia! What the shards are you doing here?" "It's really none of your business, but I was looking for C'olt." The Green Rider had to close his eyes and shake his head in bewilderment. Lovely. This is the last thing I needed to deal with, he thought reluctantly. Luckily for him, Aromath picked up on her bonded's mood, and sent him some soothing, reassuring thoughts. C'olt, Mine, there's no need to be worried. Surely you can get Brigith's and Merequith's to calm down, can't you? I'll try, love, but there's no guarantee I'll be able to pull it off. See if you can get Brigith and Merequith to help out, will you? Aromath sounded a little amused in her reply. With you, anything's possible. The Green calmly relayed her message to Brigith and Merequith, asking the Gray and the Blue dragons to help keep the peace between all three Riders while her own C'olt peered around the corner. He took notice of Kia and Lyrensa - both noticeably pregnant, but still equally beautiful in his eyes (perhaps it was that so-called "glow" that pregnancy often lent to a woman?). Taking a deep breath, he held it for a three-count before stepping out into plain view and cleared his throat, wanting to catch the ladies' attention.
"I don't want to interrupt your conversation, but I think it's best if we take this back to one of the private rooms."

Lyrensa swore up and down that this child, this thing in her womb, was intent on making her life unimaginably horrid. It sat on her bladder, it gave her the most terrible heartburn, sometimes it didn't let her eat at all! She went from feeling starved to feeling bloated and fat all in a matter of 15 minutes, taking her self-esteem and emotions with it. And with Kia also experiencing the same things and simply existing during this time of unrest, the gray weyrling blew her top. Her lips curled back in a snarl at the bluerider's curt words, her arm instinctively raising halfway as if to hit her smartly on the cheek. "Looking for C'olt and it's none of my business? His child is in my womb, too, you dimglow!"
Lyrensa-love, you must calm down. It is not good for the little one. What if something happens to you? The woman's eyes became unfocused for a moment, but her features, rather than softening, only grew darker. She didn't feel like listening to anyone right now, even her gray, who had done nothing wrong to her. Before she could launch into another scathing remark, however, there was a pointed throat-clearing from down the hallway. She glanced over irritably to see C'olt standing there. If she thought she'd been mad before, she was positively enraged now. "Don't pretend to know what's best for me, C'olt!" she spat furiously. "This is all your fault anyways. If you could keep your shardin' hands to yourself none of this would have happened!" she said, her words punctuated by stalking steps as she advanced on him in the corridor, finger pointed accusingly.

Kia clenched her fists. She was not in the mood to deal with Lyrensa's temper. She was feeling grouchy enough as it was. The blue rider bit her lip as she listened to Lyrensa yelling at her. What right did she have to accuse her? Kia hadn't said anything about Lyrensa not feeling the same way. "Which is why you should know why I'm looking for C'olt," she snarled, just managing to keep from hitting the gray weyrling. That wouldn't do at all.
Love, stop. This is nonsense. There is no reason to be so mad, Merequith told his rider. What was she thinking anyhow? Kia ignored her blue. She wasn't in the mood to be talked down. She felt miserable and grouchy and she wanted someone to know just how she felt. She spun around when she heard C'olt. Her eyes narrows. "I never should have listened to you that night at the Feast," she growled to C'olt. "Then I wouldn't be in this position right now."

Lyrensa and Kia were now advancing on the Journeyman Healer, and C'olt started to backpedal, his eyes widening in surprise. Apparently, Merequith and Brigith failed miserably in getting their Riders to calm down. If looks could kill, the blonde-headed Green Rider would be lying on the floor, the victim of a dual strike from the two women whom were now carrying his children. This isn't going so well, Aromath... Are Merequith's and Brigith's still not listening to you, Mine? Nope. Any other ideas?
Still trying to get out of reach of the two ladies but not keeping his eyes off of them, Aromath took her time in replying, but not in the way her bonded expected. Perhaps you could seduce them, get them to give into their...need for close intimacy? C'olt's eyes practically bulged out of their sockets, his face turning a deep red. Apparently, the Green had somehow picked up on the Healer's study of the effects of pregnancy. How, C'olt didn't want to know. Now isn't the time for that, Aromath! he mentally scolded his Green, earning the equivalent of a playful giggle in response. He had to think, quickly.
Not far from his current position was a private room meant for patients suffering from arthritis and other muscular-skeletal pains. Within said room was a heated pool that remained a constant warm temperature throughout the turn. C'olt managed to spot it out of the corner of his eye, and he briefly turned to look at it, pausing mid-step. Slowly turning his head to face Kia and Lyrensa, his facial expression changed from shock to a heartbreaking, roguish grin. C'olt took off his Healers' cap and let his long locks of blond hair spill down towards his back and shoulders, then casually tossed it into the room, letting it land near the edge before peeling his tunic over his shoulders and tossing that in as well. Now bare-chested, he waited for a moment before giving his answer. Lyrensa and Kia both had been suckers for his looks in the past, but he would try to use that to his advantage again. Along with the right words...
"At least I'm willing to own up to the fact both of you are carrying my child," he said. "Two, I can help keep a close eye on the babies while they're in the creche. Three, I've never felt so strongly about anyone before; well, other than Aromath of course. Both of you have always held a special place in my heart, and that's not going to change. Ever. Even before we found out about the pregnancies." C'olt sighed softly before he continued. "Look you two. It's already a given that we can't share a Flight together. Well, perhaps we could, but there's no guarantee of that. One of us would have to be pulled in. But outside of a Flight, I can't think of any reason why I would have to choose between one of you and her child. I won't do that. I'd rather spend time with both of you AND our children. Together. As a family."
C'olt slipped out of his sandals and peeled out of his breeches, then casually tossed them into the room as well, revealing the rest of his cat-like, slender yet muscular form. "Starting now." Flashing them a playful, seductive grin, the Healer turned to walk into the private room, and waded into the therapy pool.

Lyrensa was ready to go do battle with Kia, even if she was hardly the type to take such things to violence. Lyrensa, dear, please stop. You cannot hurt Kia and you cannot hurt either of your babes! But there was one name that was distinctly left out, and oh boy would she hurt him. He began to backpedal as Kia and Lyrensa turned their wrath on him. Oh he wouldn't be getting away from this any time soon. It was a bad, bad day in paradise. Suddenly his eyes were wide with horror and his face was swiftly turning a color she'd only seen on Holder's gowns. And then.....he was removing his cap, long blond hair freed, and then he was slipping out of his shirt. What was h...oh. A slight shiver ran through her frame. She'd forgotten, or else lost it in her drunken memories, how he looked without his clothing obscuring his finely-sculpted body.
No.
She couldn't give in. It was a trap, an attempt to distract her. He began to speak and she didn't know whether to be more upset or less upset. His little speech was all fine and dandy, but she was still not all that comfortable with the idea of sharing. But she'd do as she had to. C'olt was slipping off his sandals now and out of her breeches. Was he raving mad, standing in the middle of the infirmary stark naked? "C'olt, don't think you're...getting off....so easy," she started strongly, her voice beginning to trail off as her body's hormones began to react to the sight of the man before her. Faranth how had she worked beside him all this time in the infirmary?

Kia stood ready for whatever Lyrensa threw at her. The blue rider wasn't the violent type, but she hadn't been around runners her whole life and not gotten some muscle tone from it, pregnant or not. She tensed in surprise when Lyrensa seemed to relax and Merequith spoke to her again. This is foolish. You will only hurt yourself and the little one. Do not do this. Her face paled a little. Her dragon didn't usually speak to her like that. She looked over at C'olt. He on the hand deserved her wrath.
Kia stared as the green rider took his hat off. She didn't even hear his speech as he started to strip. What was he thinking? Did he think they would just forgive him like that? But then again, with the way her body was responding right now she was definitely willing to forgive him. Sharding hormones. She couldn't keep anything straight. She glanced over at Lyrensa. She didn't want to fight anymore and quietly followed C'olt. In her anger she had forgotten how handsome and muscular he was. She just wanted to run her fingers through those blond locks of his.

C'olt waded into the therapy pool; letting the warm water reach his waist and finally up to his chest before he briefly dipped under the surface, rising again to clear his nostrils. The water felt good against his bare skin, and he pushed his hair back out of his eyes as he made his way over to the ledge. Turning around, C'olt lounged against the lip of the pool, using his arms to provide a bit of support as he watched and waited, his green eyes like that of a hungry predator patiently waiting for its prey. Droplets of water rolled down his cat-like form, lending him a wet, glistening look. Lyrensa and Kia both watched him strip down in front of them (and practically everyone else), the Gray Weyrling trailing off in mid-sentence as she wondered what her fellow Healer was doing while Kia followed quietly, both ladies' bodies starting to betray the very basic desire of pure want.
He offered up a charming smile that could easily rival that of a certain Brown Rider's. While there was no love lost between C'olt and B'ren, the younger Rider thought the scoundrel had turned soft and given in too easily to Tanly's looks. C'olt, on the other hand, had no idea what B'ren would think or say when he found out about C'olt having a nearly-identical penchant for chasing skirts...and now that two women would soon be the mothers of his children, perhaps he himself would be thought of as "soft". More like taking responsibility for my actions, the Healer thought to himself. Still, I would not deny the truth of how much I love Kia and Lyrensa, and not just because they're bearing my children. I love them for who they are - both of them brave and beautiful, both highly intelligent and deserving of a great deal of respect. I could never choose between them nor their children in a thousand turns.
C'olt made a subtle gesture with his hands, inviting Kia and Lyrensa into the pool. "Come on in. The water's fantastic," he practically purred.

Lyrensa was still reluctant to forgive C'olt so easily, especially with the anger so fresh and the evidence of his revenge-worthy actions pressing against her skin and internal organs. She knew well the effects of pregnancy, having borne one child before, but it was still all too easy to be sucked into the trap that C'olt was laying for her, even if she suspected he might be taking advantage of her hormones. Slowly she began to follow him towards the pool, choosing to focus on how good the warmth felt on her body rather than the other reactions she was experiencing. Not looking at C'olt, she entered the room and began removing her own clothing, shivering as steam hit newly-exposed flesh.
At last Lyrensa stood in naught but her skin, the rounded curve of her belly much more visible without the fabrics she used to mask it. Finally she looked at C'olt, her eyes slightly hooded. How fickle these hormones were! One minute she'd been ready to place her hands around Kia and C'olt's respective necks and the next she wanted nothing more than to pounce the man and spend the day in his furs. She sank into the healing waters, closing her eyes as the warmth enveloped her fully. She opened her eyes very slowly, flicking her gaze to her fellow Healer. "Do not think you are completely off the hook," she said quietly, her voice gone deeper and slightly husky.

Kia quietly followed the other two. She couldn't quite figure her hormones out. She was still angry at C'olt for getting her in this predicament in the first place, but now she just wanted to snuggle up to him and cry. And not five minutes before she was ready to fight Lyrensa. The blue rider wasn't sure how much more of these mood swings she could take. She didn't like them at all. She wanted to be herself again. And she wanted her body back. She was tired of waking up sick or having to run for the bathroom more frequently.
The blue rider relaxed slightly as the warmth of the room hit her. She slowly slipped out of her own clothing, but suddenly felt very self conscious. She had always been thin and now without her clothes there was no way to hide that she was pregnant. She couldn't help it that she was still a bit leery of the whole idea. Kia slowly followed Lyrensa into the pool, letting the warm water relax her further. She shot a look at C'olt though. "We'll talk more about this later," she told him.

((I've been listening to two different versions of "Obsession" - the original version by Animotion and the 2004 cover by The Azoic. No wonder C'olt's in a raunchy mood and is feeling rather frisky/freaky...but I'll leave it up to you two if you want to continue this on the mature forum.)) C'olt watched through half-lidded eyes as both women entered the steam-filled room; Lyrensa first, followed by Kia. Lyrensa was the taller of the two, Kia the more petite. One shared similar blonde-colored hair as he; the other more of a dark complexion. Both were lithe yet athletic, their bodies well-toned. And in his eyes, both of them looked decidedly delicious just as they had before on the night they shared, away from the commotion in the Dining Cavern. C'olt had kept up on his studies, and came across a note of how pregnancy seemed to lend a healthy glow to a woman. If that was true, it was very evident in both Lyrensa and Kia. The latter seemed to be a bit more conscious of her figure, unsure of herself and why she was letting herself get involved in this, but still Kia followed Lyrensa into the pool after shedding their clothes. A slow, playful grin came to C'olt's lips, and he could feel a stirring in his loins under the surface of the water. His green eyes now fully alert and watching intently, watching both women as they approached him. Lyrensa chided him, but the huskiness of her voice was telling C'olt otherwise. As was Kia's warning about how they would talk about this later. "Oh, I wouldn't dream of being off the hook. Nor would I not want to discuss this later," he said, his own voice rich and melodic. The Healer casually lowered his arms from the lip of the pool, and teasingly beckoned both women forward by crooking his index fingers at them, giving them a come-hither look with his eyes. "No indeed, ladies. In fact, I welcome whatever you two decide to throw at me, as long as we let our inhibitions go and...well...enjoy each other's company while we're at it."

The water was warm and relaxing, but not quite relaxing enough to make her forget that Kia was there and it wasn't just her young, blonde, devilishly handsome fellow healer who was in her company. No, a day that was turning out to be perhaps not so unpleasant was marred by her presence. But the water was quickly working out not only the kinks in very stiff muscles, but some of the kinks of Lyrensa's current surliness. And that included her less than nice reaction to Kia. Still...C'olt had her clinging to her fury like cobwebs, which meant that it was quickly giving way and giving her little to hang on to.
She turned her brown-eyed gaze on him for a long, but silent moment, her features arranged in a subdued disapproval of his actions. But she wouldn't be alive if her body wasn't reacting the way any warm-bodied woman's would. But she had a protest to his very tempting offer. "Why should we do favors for you when we are the ones who must suffer through pregnancy and childbirth, hmm?" she said, cocking an eyebrow with her sultry question. "No, I rather think we will be laying back and welcoming whatever you throw at us." Now she was pleased as punch.
