El'dan shrugged a little, but winced as he pulled some tight muscles. His side still hurt if he wasn't careful. "Yeah, let's say I got very tired of seeing the same walls and not being able to see Ty," he said. His blue hadn't been very thrilled about that. Although at least he had been able to talk with Tyverith. The blue rider nodded. "I talked to Kanly at the Feast and I've talked to M'cal and Kikaya a bit. Not much though," he admitted. He really needed to make a point to go see them all.

Z'zak smiled. At least El'dan had talked to a few of them, especially Kanly. Though he would not outwardly admit it, he was worried for the girl. He hoped that Chrysoberyth was not filling the void of K'ain with too much strength against her rider. She had been an awful strong-willed dragonet. "Hopefully I can talk to 'em myself soon," he said as his gaze drifted to the rain outside again. Being cooped up was not fun when you constantly was out and about for twenty turns.

El'dan glanced over at his friend with a smirk. "She's doing good," he said, saying who she was. He knew Z'zak would figure it out. As much as he tried to hide it, El'dan knew that Z'zak cared about Kanly. The blue rider nodded. "Surely they'll be letting you out soon," he said hopefully. He would like to spend more time with his friend, but doing the steps all the time was hard on his side and leg.

The brownrider smiled at his friend's words. The two of them had an understanding of each other as if they were brothers, though neither of them came from the same background. That was no matter though. They were safe and healing and free. Sure he was still stuck inside under watchful eyes, but soon, he knew, freedom to fly about the skies would be his again and Nocheth would so much more happy that they could fly together. "Faranth, from my understandin' of our lil' thread-killin' meetin's, I should be allowed outta 'ere perty shardin' soon. With any shardin' luck, afore Chrysoberyth lays 'er clutch," he said, turning his gaze back to the bluerider.

El'dan was glad to see that Z'zak still seemed to be in good spirits despite everything. He had lost pretty much everything when they had jumped ahead in time, but he had stayed good friends with Z'zak. He wasn't sure what he would have done without the brown rider. The blue rider nodded. "To me it seems like you've proven yourself. If you had wanted to try something you would have done it already." He grinned a bit. "Yeah and I imagine she'll be clutching soon. Nocheth will love that," he said.

Z'zak smirked knowingly at El'dan's comment. Yes, had he wanted to, he would have done something by now, but he sure as Faranth cracked shell was not going to screw up his chance at freedom. No way in a thousand turns would he screw that up. His smirk turned into a calm, merry smile at the mention of a clutch soon. "Yeah, Nocheth'll shardin' love it. He'll prob'ly be down 'ere as of'en as Chrysoberyth'll let 'im," he said, amused by the paternalness his huge brown had been showing recently.

The blue rider rolled his eyes with a smile. The two had grown to know each other inside and out. There wasn't anything that they didn't tell each other. Z'zak had been the best friend almost brother that El'dan had ever had. "Hmm, well if Chrysoberyth isn't real protective then I'm sure Nocheth can be there quite often. Maybe he'll stop bugging you about when they will hatch then," he teased his friend. He was happy for Z'zak though. He was sure it would be a good clutch.

Z'zak chuckled. "Shells, with 'im feedin' off my mem'ries, I doubt 'e'll stop buggin' me fer quite a shardin' long time." He glanced outside again, then to the open doorway that Sanrev currently occupied, then finally back to his friend, knowing that time for El'dan's visit was growing short on him. "Say hi ta all our riders fer me. Ya' know 'ow Nocheth don't like Faranth talkin' to other dragons much."

"I'm sure you won't have to wait too much longer." He had seen the young red and knew that her time would be soon. El'dan followed Z'zak's gaze. He sighed softly, knowing the same thing. He only got so much time with his friend. He hoped that soon they would release Z'zak. The blue rider nodded. "Of course," he assured his friend. "Although Nocheth has talked Tyverith's ear off," he smiled. It was funny that the brown would actually talk to his blue.

Z'zak smiled. He knew that his huge brown talked to El'dan's blue a lot. It seemed like the only thing the big sandy beast could do since he bored himself Between hanging out on the ledge all day. "I think 'e talks so shardin' much 'cause 'e gits bored up 'ere all the time an' I, Faranth forbid, can't be down 'ere with 'im," the brownrider said, glancing at the knock from the doorway.
"Time's up, El'dan. Best be gettin' on your way," Sanrev said from the doorway, Neek sitting proudly on his shoulder and peering at the two riders.

"Ty doesn't mind. Actually, I think he rather enjoys talking to Nocheth." He knew his blue still didn't talk to too many others yet. They were still settling in. The blue rider nodded in understanding. "Hopefully soon you'll be able to be down with him. And let me know if there is anything I can do to help," he said.
El'dan looked over at the knock. "Thank you, Sanrev." The rider got to stiff feet, wincing slightly as his muscles protested. He was still really sore and stiff most of the time. "See you later, Z'zak."

Z’zak sighed at Sanrev’s words. He never did get to finish catching up due to a tight reign on his time allotted with someone else. He would be as glad as Impression day when he could finally talk on his own time, not borrowed time, and be able to complete a whole conversation. “See ya’, El’,” he replied to his friend’s farewell, standing up himself. He could do nothing for El’dan until he was released. Then he could help wash Tyverith and save the bluerider some strength and help him heal better in doing so. He would put the chair and mug in their proper places once El’dan was gone. No sense in eating up valuable time. He stopped within steps of the doorway, not wanting to pressure his boundaries until he knew for sure that he was allowed out.
Sanrev nodded to El’dan and gave him a sympathetic smile. “Sorry,” he apologized for the time frame, but orders were orders and there was nothing he could do about it. Neek chirped a farewell from his Pet’s shoulder while Sanresk still dozed in the dimness a short distance away. The dark brown would be up and about soon and Sanrev would be relieved by the next guard in the rotation to go about his normal evening and night duties.

El'dan waved back at his friend. He hoped soon that he would actually be able to have a whole conversation with his friend again. It was frustrating to not be able to talk him more. But he knew soon he would be able. The blue rider gave Sanrev a small smile. "It's okay," he said quietly. He knew it wasn't the wherhandler's fault. Only time would be able to fix things. He gave Sanresk a wide berth as he headed back down the stairs, his limp becoming more apparent now.

Z’zak retreated back within his weyr prison and went about putting the mug and chair back. Once finished, he stepped back out onto the rain-soaked ledge and sat down where he had been before his friend had come knocking. The rain felt good and all things considered, life would get better for him and the others. They were free from torment and fear and finally in the proper setting for a well-run Weyr.
Sanrev watched Z’zak move about, knowing that the brownrider’s evening meal would come with the next guard in less than a candlemark now. He knew what it was like to be constrained to one area. He had spent enough time between the infirmary and his dark little den that he shared with Sanresk and Neek.
((OoC: END!))
